Kett Life

Christmas

30th December 2009 by Ella Henderson

Well Christmas day was indeed a crisp, clear day. We had a wonderful time in Burnham Thorpe, with relatives visiting from all over. We went for some festive drinks at the Lord Nelson, and enjoyed a lovely walk at Burnham Overy on Boxing day. Some of the snow was still around, which made for a lovely scene across the fields and really got us in the festive mood once the fire was lit and the fairy lights went up.

We had a really delicious starter of smoked salmon from Gurneys in Burnham Market, a rib of beef from P&S butchers and some fabulous cheeses from Bakers and Larners both in the lovely market town of Holt. Our veg came from Uttings in Burnham Market. It is so nice that we have such a plethora of fantastic local shops in North Norfolk, so much better than trudging through strip-lit supermarkets!

We are hoping that in the next couple of weeks we’ll have some entries on this blog from some other contributors, so keep an eye out for that. Again, any and all comments much appreciated.
