Kett Life
The Big Thaw
11th January 2010 by Ella Henderson

So much has been written of this 'big freeze' in newspapers and magazines recently that we at Kett are starting to feel a little tired of it all. Especially as here in Norfolk it's more a case of the 'Big Thaw'. The sun is shining, we've had very little frost, and relatively little snow in comparison to the rest of the country. It's a good time to be thinking about a break in Norfolk - take advantage of quieter roads, higher temperatures than the rest of England and some off peak discounts on our properties which can be found on our special offers page.
I can't help feeling that there is some significance in the fact that I have seen so many still-flowering rosebushes around the place. Although this could be due to erratic pruning! Any comments on this would be appreciated as my gardening knowledge isn’t of a particularly high standard. It just seems to me as if we have an eternal summer (despite the wind, the rain and the snow). Either way, it’s lovely in Norfolk, all year round. Just ask the roses.
