Norfolk Broads Cottages
The Norfolk Broads, the network of seven navigable rivers in the Norfolk region, stretch over 200 kilometres and are steeped in history. The area receives over 2 million visitors every year, most of which explore the luscious terrain and waterways via motor boat, sail boat or canoe, or by hiking, walking or cycling through villages of converted barns, medieval churches, windmills and gardens. The Grebe Lodge is also close-in from the Broads and perfect for families looking to spend the day either on the sea or walking through the marshes and brushes to take in the vast species of birds, such as buzzards, hobbys and sparrowhawks. To keep the kids busy, there are also a number family parks and railways nearby, as well as lush, sleepy riverbanks that are great for peaceful, romantic afternoon picnics.
