Alice Cottage

North Creake | Sleeps up to 4 people | From £260.00 per week

North West Norfolk has a wealth of variety for those wishing to enjoy all that a holiday on the coast can offer.  The main coastal towns of Hunstanton and Wells-next-the-Sea are all close by from where you can sail, birdwatch, swim, take boat trips, play golf, ride horses or just relax on the beaches.  Smaller villages including Sedgeford, Burnham Market, Brancaster, Thornham, Titchwell, Burnham Overy Staithe, Holkham and Holme next the Sea allow you to experience the award winning restaurants, country pubs, galleries and the many farm shops selling local and seasonal produce.  Sandringham is easily accessible as are the other stately homes of Houghton Hall and Holkham.

Alice Cottage is a lovely, stylish yet traditional, cosy mid-terrace property in the village of North Creake, just 3 miles from Burnham Market and 10 minutes drive the coast. The house has been extensively renovated and has retained original beams and pammet floor tiles and brickwork to make a real country cottage. The River Burn runs along the end of the garden (Pooh sticks provided). Within walking distance are a village shop, post office and pub. Just outside the village are the ruins of a 14th Century Augustinian Priory. The cottage is ideally placed to enjoy the coast or all that the area has to offer inland.

This property sleeps 3 + 1 on a sofa bed.

On entering the property from the rear garden you will find yourself in a lovely, well equipped kitchen complete with; electric oven and hob, under counter fridge, small freezer and microwave oven.

Then through to the cosy sitting room, featuring exposed beams, pamment tiles and a wood burning stove. There are two ample and comfortable sofas, one of which is a sofa-bed. There is a TV with DVD and video and a small dining table and chairs.

Going back into the kitchen there are cupboard stairs leading up to the first floor where you will find a traditional yet tastefully decorated double room with a lovely cast iron bed, wardrobe and dressing table. On the other side of the landing is a light and airy single room with drawers next to the bed. There is a nice, bright family bathroom with a bath and handheld shower, sink and loo.

Outside is a small porch overlooking the garden (there is shared access across the rear of the cottage with the cottages on either side), with seats to enjoy the morning sunshine. The garden has lawns, mature trees and shrubs,  and garden furniture for when the sun is shining! The garden is securely fenced and is therefore nice and safe for children and pets. Please note; a small dog can squeeze through the criss cross fencing if naughty enough!

The garden is enclosed and is accessed through a gate just the other side of the shared access path that runs across the back of the cottages.

Parking is off road to the rear of the property accessed from Wells road. The river runs beyond the garden gate close by the road.

Pets welcome @ £10 extra.
