North Norfolk has a wealth of variety for those wishing to enjoy all that a holiday on the coast can offer. The main coastal towns of Wells-next-the-Sea, Blakeney and Holt are all close by from where you can sail, birdwatch, swim, take boat trips, play golf, ride horses or just relax on the beaches. Villages including Burnham Market, Brancaster, Holkham, Salthouse, Cley and Morston allow you to experience the award winning restaurants, country pubs, galleries and the many farm shops selling local and seasonal produce. Inland there are a number of stately homes including Houghton Hall, Blickling Hall and Holkham.
Apple Cottage is a traditional brick and flint, detached cottage dating from 17thC set into the chalk hillside in the village of Stiffkey. The village is ideally situated on the coast for easy reach of the beaches and there are plenty of walks on the marsh for birdwatching or for a dip in the creeks in summer. There is a pub in the village serving food and a very good village shop just around the corner. Wells is only three miles away and Blakeney is five miles in the other direction. The market towns of Holt and Fakenham are only 10 miles away.
This very charming country cottage has an entrance which leads into the sitting room with a low beamed ceiling and an inglenook fireplace. There is a wood-burning stove for winter comfort and comfortable seating, a TV with video, DVD player and a CD player. The dining room also features an inglenook fireplace, beams, and has seating for 6 - 8.
The kitchen is well equipped with an electric cooker, a microwave and a fridge freezer. There is a bathroom downstairs near to the kitchen with a power shower over the bath and a w.c. There is also another useful separate w.c. downstairs. A utility room houses a washing machine and an airing cupboard. Here there are chairs for the garden.
Upstairs are three bedrooms, 1 large double with a king sized bed, a twin room and a bunk bedded room. There is a payphone in the house for guests use. The garden is fully enclosed and has a lawn and shrubs.
There is also a paved patio area with garden furniture and a barbeque.
Parking off road for 1 car, it is possible to park to small cars tightly.
Heating is by oil fired central heating along with the wood-burner and an electric convector heater upstairs.
