The main coastal towns of Wells-next-the-Sea, Blakeney, Cromer, Sheringham and Holt are all close by from where you can sail, birdwatch, swim, take boat trips, play golf, ride horses or just relax on the beaches. Villages including Burnham Market, Brancaster, Holkham, Salthouse, Cley, Overstrand and Morston allow you to experience the award winning restaurants, country pubs, galleries and the many farm shops selling local and seasonal produce. Inland there are a number of stately homes including Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall. The Norfolk Broads are only a short distance and are perfect for boating and fishing throughout the year.
Apple Tree Barn has been converted to the highest specifications, featuring solid oak flooring, quality bathroom fittings and a hand made kitchen, complete with Aga cooker. It is three miles from the Georgian town of Holt, a popular destination for shopping and eating out (restaurants, tea rooms and public houses). It is also only a few miles from the traditional seaside towns of Wells, Sheringham and Cromer, all offering activities for children and clean beaches. Alongside high general specifications, interesting touches such as the cream Smeg fridge freezer and rose patterned china give this barn an individual and homey atmosphere - easy to feel relaxed in.
In addition to its own enclosed shingle garden the barn has shared use of an enclosed children's play area with swings, slide, trampoline and goal posts. By request, the owner is happy to take you to visit their alpacas. Perfect for families the barn is ideal for large groups wishing to holiday together as Walnut Tree Barn sleeping 6/7 is next door and is equipped with sufficient crockery, etc. to facilitate the total number of people from both barns. Lots of healthy, fresh produce is available locally, additionally, the village of Briston features a very popular family owned butcher's shop and bakery, selling local produce and it also has 2 pubs.
