Hunstanton

Fondly referred to as ‘Sunny Hunny’ this is an incredibly popular Norfolk seaside town and may well have received its nickname from being the only seaside resort in the county where you can watch the sun set over the water – a romantic treat for anyone to appreciate. There are many well-equipped holiday properties in this area that you can rent through Kett Country Cottages – many walking distance from the impressive red limestone cliffs – and there are endless fun activities the town has to offer to make your weekend away or holiday one to remember.A traditional family resort, Hunstanton boasts fun amusement arcades, a fairground and bowling alley, aquarium and seal sanctuary, Splash leisure pool, the Princess Theatre and when the weather is fair you can take a boat trip out to see the grey seals.

The nearest large town is King’s Lynn and not far from Hunstanton is Sandringham House, the Queen’s Norfolk home, parts of which are open to the public. Houghton Hall is another beautiful stately home that is well worth a visit – built by the first Prime Minister, Sir Robert Walpole in 1735. Other local places to visit are Castle Rising ruins and other delightful towns and villages heading north along the coastal roads – Burnham Market, Holkham, Morston and Blakeney to name a few.
