North and North East Norfolk has a wealth of variety for those wishing to enjoy all that a holiday on the coast can offer. The main coastal towns of Wells-next-the-Sea, Blakeney, Cromer, Sheringham and Holt are all close by from where you can sail, birdwatch, swim, take boat trips, play golf, ride horses or just relax on the beaches. Villages including Burnham Market, Brancaster, Holkham, Salthouse, Cley, Overstrand and Morston allow you to experience the award winning restaurants, country pubs, galleries and the many farm shops selling local and seasonal produce. Inland there are a number of stately homes including Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall. The Norfolk Broads are only a short distance and are perfect for boating and fishing throughout the year.
The Cart Lodge is in the small village of Erpingham not far from the coast in North Norfolk. The Lodge has been recently converted and is a spacious, comfortable property sleeping 4. Erpingham is a quiet but attractive village. It lies just 7 miles from the coast and is also close to many local attractions including Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall. There is plenty to do in the area including walking on the nearby Thwaite Common, fishing, cycling and sailing on the Broads.
Entrance into the lodge is via the front door and takes you into the hall/utility room which has a washing machine and a fridge freezer and plenty of room for coats and boots etc. Just off the hall is a shower room with a wc.
The ground floor is largely open plan. Into the large kitchen/dining area. The kitchen is high quality and hand made and has an electric oven, hob and grill, a microwave, coffee maker and dishwasher. The dining area has a table to seat 6 and looks out over the garden. Through to the sitting area which has sofas for 4/5, a TV, DVD, CD/radio. From here there is a door out into the garden.
Upstairs there is a double room with a chest of drawers, hanging space and a dressing table. The twin room has 3ft single beds and storage space for clothes. The family bathroom has a handheld shower in the bath and a wc. Outside is a lovely south/southwest facing garden. It is not enclosed but is bordered by the fruit trees and bushes that make up the farm. There is a table and chairs where you can enjoy a drink as the sun sets over the fields.
For those interested in ornithology, the Owner has spotted 70 different species of bird in the garden over the years.
