Although set inland this pretty cottage is less than 20 minutes drive form the wonderfully varied and extensive coastline.

North Norfolk has a wealth of variety for those wishing to enjoy all that a holiday on the coast can offer.  The main coastal towns of Wells-next-the-Sea, from where you can sail, birdwatch, swim, take boat trips, play golf, ride horses or just relax on the beaches.  Villages including Burnham Market, Brancaster, Holkham, Salthouse, Cley and Morston allow you to experience the award winning restaurants, country pubs, galleries and the many farm shops selling local and seasonal produce.  Inland there are a number of stately homes including Houghton Hall, Blickling Hall and Holkham.

This charming period cottage in the village of Gunthorpe dates from 1849 and has recently undergone a full refurbishment to make a very pleasant family retreat. A unique feature of the cottage is the ornate chimney itself . The village is about 8 miles from Fakenham Holt and Blakeney on the coast and is surrounded by fields and beautiful countryside, ideal for walking or cycling.

 

Entrance is into a hallway which in turn leads out to the rear of the property.

The newly fitted kitchen / dining room leads from the hall and has an electric oven with extractor over, a microwave, fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine. The dining table seats 6.

The bright and sunny sitting room leads off from the kitchen. It is decorated in a contemporary style but also features an  original Victorian open fireplace, a flat screen TV with a Sky HD  with a full package of Sky Movies and Sky Sports, and some extra subscription channels.

All on the ground floor, the 3 bedrooms lead away from the hall. There are 2 double rooms and a bunk bedded room. The newly fitted bathroom has a shower over the bath plus w.c. and basin.

Outside is a very pretty little enclosed courtyard garden with garden furniture.
