North West Norfolk has a wealth of variety for those wishing to enjoy all that a holiday on the coast can offer.  The main coastal towns of Hunstanton and Wells-next-the-Sea are all close by from where you can sail, birdwatch, swim, take boat trips, play golf, ride horses or just relax on the beaches.  Smaller villages including Sedgeford, Burnham Market, Thornham, Titchwell, Burnham Overy Staithe, Holkham and Holme next the Sea allow you to experience the award winning restaurants, country pubs, galleries and the many farm shops selling local and seasonal produce.  Sandringham is easily accessible as are the other stately homes of Houghton Hall and Holkham.

Derwen is a lovely, smart and stylish new build on the edge of the popular village of Brancaster. It is a short walk from the Jolly Sailors pub (popular with locals and holiday-makers alike!) where local ale and stone-fired pizzas are a speciality. Just down the road is the stylish White Horse pub for a slightly more upmarket take on local food and some fantastic views across the marshes. A few minutes walk away are the staithe and creake – perfect for sailing and boat trips. As well as many other lovely beaches, the huge sandy beach of Brancaster is very nearby. The popular market town of Burnham Market is a short drive inland. Just up the hill is Barrow common – a great place to walk and bird-spot,  with wonderful views out to sea across fields and marshland.

This spacious property sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms and is well equipped with everything you could need for a family holiday. A wide hallway leads off to a  large, bright, well appointed sitting room, with double aspect windows and French doors leading on the garden. The other side of the hallway leads onto a well designed and sizeable open-plan kitchen diner. In here you will find a double electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. Just off here is a utility room with washing machine and dryer. From here you can access the garden. Next to the dining area there is a good sized, comfortable TV room with wood burner and flat screen TV and DVD player.

Upstairs there are 3 nicely decorated twin rooms, two of which look out over the garden and fields whilst the other is at the front of the property. There is a family bathroom with a bath and shower over. Just down the hallway is the master bedroom which is tastefully decorated with fitted wardrobes and en suite bathroom with walk in shower and loo. There are lovely views from here over the surrounding countryside.

Outside there is a good sized garden with a large lawn, shrubs and garden furniture – a perfect place to sit in the evening sun. The garden is enclosed and backs onto open fields.

At the front of the property is off road parking for 2/3 cars.

Burnham Deepdale

A small village on the coast, a couple of miles from Burnham Market, Burnham Deepdale is incredibly well situated. There is a garage with large local shop, an extremely good café and a selection of interesting shops including a children’s toy shop, Fat Face clothes shop and a pottery and craft shop. Nearby is Brancaster Staithe with it’s lovely harbour and sailing school. You will also find the Fish Shed, selling, amongst other things, fresh fish and hand made sushi! Opposite is the White Horse pub with it’s lovely deck that looks out across the marshes and a little further there is the Jolly Sailors where you can find the perfect pint and jolly good pizzas!
