North Norfolk has a wealth of variety for those wishing to enjoy all that a holiday on the coast can offer. The main coastal towns of Wells-next-the-Sea, Blakeney and Holt are all close by from where you can sail, birdwatch, swim, take boat trips, play golf, ride horses or just relax on the beaches. Villages including Burnham Market, Brancaster, Holkham, Salthouse, Cley and Morston allow you to experience the award winning restaurants, country pubs, galleries and the many farm shops selling local and seasonal produce. Inland there are a number of stately homes including Houghton Hall, Blickling Hall and Holkham.
Dormouse Cottage is a charming, traditional brick and flint terraced property set down a little lane by the side of the church in South Creake. Being slightly outside the main part of the village it is peaceful and quiet and has lovely views across the meadows. It is within walking distance to the village pub which is very popular with locals and holiday-makers alike. The beautiful coast is just 15 minutes away and within 10 minutes drive each way you have a choice of either the bustling market town of Fakenham or the chic village of Burnham Market. All in all this is a cottage in a perfect location for exploring all that the area has to offer.
On entering the property through the back door you will find yourself in a cosy and well equipped kitchen. This has everything you will need - an electric oven, hob and grill, fridge freezer, microwave and washer/dryer. The large sitting/dining room has sofas and armchairs for 4 and a dining table with room for 6. There is an open fire and a TV and DVD, radio and CD player.
Slightly narrow stairs with a twist lead from this room upstairs into a double room with exposed beams and views into the garden. Through into the second bedroom with adult size bunk beds. Off the bunk room is the bathroom with a shower over the bath, basin and a WC.
Outside there a 2 gardens. From the sitting room there is a small terrace area that runs along the back of the cottages, filled with bedding plants, and within sight of the church. At the front of the cottage is a large open grassed meadow with garden furniture, shared with the end cottage. The garden is not enclosed but is safely well away from any roads. Logs can be found in the shed.
