North Norfolk has a wealth of variety for those wishing to enjoy all that a holiday on the coast can offer. The main coastal towns of Wells-next-the-Sea, Blakeney and Holt are all close by from where you can sail, birdwatch, swim, take boat trips, play golf, ride horses or just relax on the beaches. Villages including Burnham Market, Brancaster, Holkham, Salthouse, Cley and Morston allow you to experience the award winning restaurants, country pubs, galleries and the many farm shops selling local and seasonal produce. Inland there are a number of stately homes including Houghton Hall, Blickling Hall and Holkham.
Pensthorpe, the home of BBC Springwatch is a very popular visitor destination with it's collection of birds and a beatiful setting is less than 5 miles away.
Fern Cottage is a well presented, newly built semi detached cottage in the village of Colkirk, just 3 miles south of Fakenham. The house is ideally equipped and set up for a young family and with the coast and beaches only 12 miles away there is plenty to do in and around. The village has a good traditional pub serving very good food. The cottage is constructed in a traditional Norfolk style and offers accommodation in 3 bedrooms for 5 plus an extra child and a baby.
Entrance is into a small hallway with space for coats. The fully fitted kitchen has an integral dishwasher, a washing machine, fridge/freezer, a microwave, an electric hob and oven with an extractor over. The dining table comfortably seats 6 and has a highchair. A cloakroom with w.c. and basin is also situated off the hall. The comfortable sitting room has a small wood burning stove and there are doors out onto the garden. There is a TV with a DVD player and plenty of books, games and toys to keep children amused.
Upstairs there is a double bedroom with a king size bed and an en-suite shower room. There is a further twin bedroom and a single room which can accommodate an extra child on a fold up bed. A travel cot is available also. The family bathroom has a bath but no shower over, a w.c. and basin.
The south facing private rear garden is fully enclosed and mostly laid to grass making it ideal for children. There is a paved patio area with garden furniture. A gate to the rear of the garden leads to the parking area. 2 private parking spaces are to the side of the house on a gravel drive.
