Flint Cottage is a 400 year old flint and brick traditional cottage set in large secluded gardens in the village of Great Bircham on the Sandringham Estate. The village has a shop, a post office and a good pub/hotel only 200 yards from the cottage. There is also the famous working Bircham Mill. Great Bircham is ideally situated in North West Norfolk, close to Burnham Market, and Sandringham and only seven miles from the coast. The cottage is an ideal base for birdwatching , close as it is to the RSPB reserves of Titchwell and Snettisham. The Norfolk Lavender fields are also close by at Heacham. The Cottage is cosy with it's wood-burning stove, but at the same time spacious. It has beautifully kept garden to front and rear with wonderful views over the fields to the back. The Kings Head in the village will offer a 5% discount on food and drink when you are staying in Flint Cottage. In addition it now offers a Take Away Service - Burger, Scampi or Fish and Chips or Pie of the Week and Mash - Any day of the week!
Ground Floor
Kitchen/Dining Area: French doors open out onto the rear garden terrace from the dining area. The modern kitchen is equipped with: fridge, freezer, dishwasher, electric hob and oven, microwave.
Utility: A room off the kitchen has a washing machine, work surfaces and a hand basin.
Shower: A separate shower room with a w.c. and basin.
Sitting room: A room full of character with feature beams has plenty of comfortable seating around the inglenook fireplace, with it's wood-burner. A 32inch flat screen digital TV, DVD player and Video recorder/player. Windows to front and french doors to rear make the room very light and with lovely views.
Sun room: The small sun room off the sitting room has a door opening onto the front garden terrace. An ideal spot to enjoy breakfast on a sunny morning.
Bedroom 1: Off the sitting room is a small single bedroom with shelves, a chest of drawers and a built in wardrobe.
First Floor
Staircase: Open stairs lead from the sitting room to the first floor.
Bedroom 2: A twin room with a chest of drawers, a bedside drawer unit and clothes storage.
Bedroom 3: A double room with a chest of drawers, a large fitted wardrobe, storage units and two bedside drawer units.
Shower Room: There is a newly appointed shower room with loo, basin, free standing shower and storage unit and plastic baby bath.
A Cot and Highchair are available.
Outside
Gardens are laid to lawn with shrubs. There are terraced areas near the house in both front and rear gardens and a raised deck area with garden furniture for sitting and enjoying the views over the fields.
The driveway will easily accommodate 3 cars off road.
A returnable security deposit is payable on this property.

Great Bircham
Situated on the Sandringham Estate Gt Bircham is a pretty little village a few miles inland from the coast and 8 miles from the popular village of Burnham Market. Home to the wonderful Great Bircham Windmill, considered one of the best preserved Windmills still remaining. They have many fun events throughout the year and on windy days you can see the sails and the milling machinery turning.
