North and North East Norfolk has a wealth of variety for those wishing to enjoy all that a holiday on the coast can offer.  The main coastal towns of Wells-next-the-Sea, Blakeney, Cromer, Sheringham and Holt are all close by from where you can sail, birdwatch, swim, take boat trips, play golf, ride horses or just relax on the beaches.  Villages including Burnham Market, Brancaster, Holkham, Salthouse, Cley, Overstrand and Morston allow you to experience the award winning restaurants, country pubs, galleries and the many farm shops selling local and seasonal produce.  Inland there are a number of stately homes including Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall.  The Norfolk Broads are only a short distance and are perfect for boating and fishing throughout the year.

Heron Lodge is a recently constructed timber lodge finished to a very high standard. The lodge is surrounded by 20 acres of open ground dotted with small copses and has the additional benefit of 5 well stocked lakes with many breeds of fish including carp, rudd, roach, bream, tench and perch. There is a good pub down the road and shops in nearby villages.

The world famous Norfolk Broads are a short distance away as is the market town of Aylsham and the city of Norwich is 20 minutes in the car. If you fancy a day on the beach, the beautiful coastline is less than a 30 minute drive. In fact the location has all you might need for a great family holiday or just a short break away.
As already mentioned, the lodge is built to a very high standard offering space and comfort in a very tranquil setting. The design has ensured a cosy warm property in the colder months and to be bright and welcoming in the warmer months.

Entrance is into the open plan living and dining area with the kitchen space to one side. There is plenty of seating on 2 sofas, with a flat screen TV and DVD. The dining table can be extended to seat 6.

The kitchen is very well equipped with microwave, double electric oven, hob and grill, dishwasher and fridge. There is a washing machine in a separate cupboard just off the kitchen.

The large double bedroom has a chest of drawers and wardrobe, wooden floors and windows on 2 walls and a well designed ensuite shower room with wc and basin. The equally large twin room has wooden floors, the same storage space and is also bright and airy.

There is a large family bathroom with a wc and basin and heated towel rail.
The mezzanine floor is reached via a spiral staircase and here there is plenty of room for the two single beds (and possibly an extra child on a blow up mattress – not supplied).

Outside there are acres of grounds to roam and explore, numerous ponds in which to fish ( licence required) and plenty of space for children to play.
