The Old Vet’s is a delightfully presented sunny cottage on the edge of the green in East Rudham. It is a mid terrace traditional Norfolk cottage which has undergone extensive modernisation to provide a very pretty and comfortable home. The house has unique features such as hand made doors with stained glass panels and is further enhanced by large, colourful pottery, rugs and wall hangings. The village of East Rudham has a very popular pub, The Crown, serving excellent food. There is a local tea room at the Pink Shop, a delightful gift shop overlooking the village green. There is also a deli selling everyday items such as milk, bread, butter, cold meats etc. West Rudham, the next village along has a great pub, The Dukes Head, serving exceptional Chinese food and takeaways.

Ground Floor

Entrance: Large hallway with tiles floor, seats, a bookcase and dressers with pretty pottery. Steps lead down to the kitchen dining room.
Kitchen/Dining Room: The fully fitted kitchen is well equipped with: electric oven and hob with extractor, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, freezer. The large dining table seats 6 easily. A large glazed door opens out onto the garden.
Sitting Room 1: Small room open to the eaves, with original beams, comfy seating and a wood burning stove. This room also has a door opening onto the garden.
Sitting room 2: Larger sitting room with seating and a coal effect electric stove with TV and DVD player.
Shower room: Freestanding shower with an electric power shower, w.c. and basin.

First Floor

Bedroom 1: Twin room with feature beams and oak flooring.
Bedroom 2: Large double room with an iron bedstead and an en-suite bathroom with a hand held shower over, w.c. and basin. 

Outside

The pretty rear garden is a fully enclosed suntrap and has plenty of outdoor furniture. It is planted with interesting plants and shrubs between gravel and paving giving it a Mediterranean feel.

Oil central heating is included and an initial supply of logs for the wood burner in winter.

Parking is outside the cottage on the road or the green.

Rudham

Charming little village just 15 minutes drive from the coast, and also from the popular village of Burnham Market. In the village there is an extremely good pub, The Crown, serving excellent food. There is a tea room at the Pink Shop, a delightful gift shop overlooking the village green. There is also a deli selling everyday items such as milk, bread, butter, cold meats etc. Holiday cottages North Norfolk range in sizes and Kett Country Cottages have two lovely holiday cottages in East Rudham, both of which are dog friendly holiday cottages.

West Rudham, the next village along has a great pub, The Dukes Head, serving exceptional Chinese food and takeaways. This is an excellent place from which to explore Norfolk with Sandringham, Houghton Hall, Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall and the Thursford Collection – home to the Christmas Spectacular all nearby. If you feel the need for some city life, Norwich is 50 miles away and Kings Lynn 16 miles. The Pensthorpe Nature Reserve is just outside the town of Fakenham - hosting the Fakenham Races is 5 miles away.
