The Hayloft lies on the edge of the village of Dersingham on the north west coast in Norfolk. It is the ideal location from which to explore. The cottage is built of original carrstone and is a conversion of the old 18th century outbuilding to the Old Hall set in a private courtyard development. It was originally part of a former public house. It has been decorated and furnished to a high standard to provide a very comfortable cottage in which to enjoy a short break or a full week. Sandringham is literally just up the road and is an excellent day out either exploring the house and gardens or just visiting the shops on the estate. The large village has a number of pubs, restaurants and good local shops. There is also a good nursery and coffee shop.

Dersingham
This fairly large village is well placed for access to the sandy beaches of North West Norfolk, the busy town of King’s Lynn and of course Sandringham! Kett Country Cottages have a luxurious holiday cottage in Dersingham. The fine city of Cambridge is just over an hours drive and Peterborough just under an hour away. Ely in the midst of the Fens has a fine cathedral well worth a look and just 50 minutes drive away or a very pleasant train ride from Kings Lynn.
There are many holiday cottages in North Norfolk, with features such as open fires, enclosed gardens and even pet-friendly cottages. A little known, but quite interesting fact is that this village has a strange connection to famous drummers! Roger Taylor (from Queen) was born here and Ginger Baker (Cream) lived here.
Drummers aside, there are a number of good local shops, pubs, restaurants and a supermarket. You’ll also find a good coffee shop at the garden centre, as well as many nice plants of course!
