Warham

This pretty village is nestled in lovely countryside just a mile or so inland from the North Norfolk Coast. There is a very popular village pub called the Three Horseshoes – which is still lit entirely by gas. The pub serves very good homemade food you are advised to arrive early as you are unable to book (also be aware that they do not accept cards). The village also has a hidden secret, a Neolithic fort constructed from the local chalk. Kett Country Cottages have a lovely holiday cottage in Warham.

The busy fishing quay in Wells is a popular attraction. Children fish for crabs from the edge of the quay, you can feed the sea birds, or simply watch the fishing boats come and go. The freshly caught seafood is a specialty in many of the local restaurants. The beautiful sandy beach at Wells, with its pine trees, sand dunes and colourful beach huts, can be reached using a miniature steam train. The beach stretches for miles towards Holkham and was featured in the film Shakespeare in Love. With its salt marshes and sand dunes, Wells attracts a rich variety of bird life throughout the year. Kett Country Cottages have a wealth of lovely holiday cottages in North Norfolk, with many different and interesting features.
