Mundesley

Mundesley is a good sized village on the coast with pubs, restaurants and a few local shops, a gallery, hairdresser and post office. The beautiful beach is extensive sand backed by low cliffs. It is ideal for children and has a lifeguard patrol during summer months. The Mundesley Golf Course is very popular. Norwich and the Norfolk Broads are only 20 miles away and Cromer under 7 miles. There are many places to visit along the coast as well as inland, including Sheringham Park and Blickling and Felbrigg Hall. Holiday Cottages in North Norfolk range in size and style and Kett Country Cottages have something to suit every taste and budget. Many cottages have features such as open fires, swimming pools and even dog friendly cottages including the 7 holiday cottages in Mundesley. The Stow Mill just outside Mundesley is well worth a visit climb to the top and enjoy the views.

The villages of Paston, Walcott, Sea Palling, and Waxham with its famous tithe barn are also a short drive away. Many migrating birds pass through the area in spring and autumn you may see Common Cranes feeding in fields near the Waxham. Happisburgh with its landmark lighthouse is also a short drive and close to here are the beautiful garden of East Ruston Hall, a real treat with its own micro climate enabling the owner to grow many exotic plants.
