River Cottage is a delightful, truly “Country Cottage” on the banks of the river Wensum in the village of Great Ryburgh. The village has a pub serving food, a small shop and post office and is close to the market town Fakenham and also to Dereham. The coast is just under a half hour drive away. There is a Raptor watch point just on the edge of the village where you can regularly spot Buzzards, Hobbys and Sparrowhawks.
Ground Floor
Kitchen/Dining Room: Entrance to the cottage is by the side door into the country style kitchen/dining room full of interesting collected items. The dining table seats 6-8 people if you have friends to visit. The kitchen is fitted with: electric oven and hob with extractor over, microwave, fridge. A washing machine and a freezer are housed in the laundry room at the back of the cottage.
W.C: With basin.
Sitting Room: The large but very cosy sitting room has TV and DVD player and a large feature inglenook fireplace, fitted with a gas flame effect fire. There is plenty of comfy seating.
First Floor
Stairs: Cupboard stairs lead up from the sitting room to the first floor, please be aware, these are quite steep with a twist.
Bedroom 1: Twin room.
Bedroom 2: The main room with a king size bed and large wardrobe and drawers.
Bedroom 3: Room with a large single bed.
Bathroom: The shared bathroom has a hand held shower over the bath, a w.c. and basin.
Outside
The well stocked garden extends to half an acre, and backs onto the river - where you can either fish for brown trout, lie in the hammock or sit out on the decking taking in the lovely views and wildlife. There are shrubs and planted beds as well as well kept lawn. The garden is enclosed and access to the river is through a gate.
There is parking off road at the front of the house for 2 cars.
Gas central heating included.

Great Ryburgh
