Walnut Tree Cottage is a pretty detached house dating from the mid 18th century, situated in the quiet village of Wighton, just 2 miles from Wells-next-the-sea. The village has a pub within walking distance serving good food. The house is of traditional brick and flint and is set in extensive gardens. It has been extensively renovated and sympathetically extended to provide a spacious family house. The interior is full of beams, oak doors and flooring and many interesting features. There are many added Arts and Crafts style features throughout the house and garden. This is a great place for children and dogs
Ground Floor
Kitchen: The kitchen has a feature fireplace with original range and bread oven and comortable chairs. It is equipped with: oil fired Aga style cooker, microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer in a separate room off the kitchen with an additional electric double oven and hob.
Utility: With washing machine, tumble dryer and W.C.
Dining area: The dining table may be extended to seat up to 12 people. A pantry houses plenty of pots and pans and cookware.
Sitting room 1: The winter sitting room has a large wood burning stove, comfortable sofas and a TV with Sky.
Games Room: Off the sitting room is a games room with a full sized pool table and a dart board.
Sitting Room 2: The summer sitting room has plenty of comfortable seating, TV with Sky, a DVD and video, a CD player and radio.
Sun Room: A large sun room with a wood-burning stove, sofas and plenty of childrens toys and games. This room opens out onto the garden and has a paved patio area and steps up onto the garden.
First floor
Bedroom 1: Double room with wooden floors and TV.
Bedroom 2: Double room with wooden floors and wardrobe.
Bedroom 3: Double room with brass bed and a TV.
Bedroom 4: Bunk room with a set of full size bunk beds.
Bedroom 5: Single room with cabin bed. The sign on the door denoting Cabin Boy comes from the QE2. A z-bed is available which can accommodate an extra child in one of the double rooms.
Bathroom 1: A shared shower room with free standing power shower, w.c and basin.
Bathroom 2: Bath with hand-held shower over, W.C. and basin.
Outside
Beautiful gardens with mature trees and shrubs, plenty of lawn and a lily pond which has a wire frame over. Although private, the garden is not completely secure as there are gaps in the boundary planting all round. The double cart shed has a table tennis table and a chain to secure bicycles. There is a large wooden swing seat with a raised seating area over the top for catching the evening sun and also a hammock, a barbeque and plenty of garden furniture.
Parking for 5 cars off road and the large gate may be closed for safety.

Wighton
This sleepy village is situated just 2 miles inland from the coast at Wells-next-the-Sea. Wighton There is a pub in the centre of the village which has very interesting and eclectic décor. Wighton is famous for it\'s annual Scarecrow Festival in May.
