Mundesley is a good sized village on the coast with pubs, restaurants and a few local shops, a gallery, hairdresser and post office. The beautiful beach is extensive sand backed by low cliffs. It is ideal for children and has a lifeguard patrol during summer months.The Mundesley Golf Course is very popular. Norwich and the Norfolk Broads are only 20 miles away and Cromer under 7 miles. Happisburgh with its landmark lighthouse is also a short drive and close to here are the beautiful garden of East Ruston Hall, a real treat with its own micro climate enabling the owner to grow many exotic plants.
