This small village is situated 7 miles east of Kings Lynn. It is well placed to explore numerous locations in North West Norfolk, from the large sandy beaches at Hunstanton and Holme to the Norfolk residence of her majesty the Queen - Sandringham. Gayton is also a short drive away from Leziate Park where you can enjoy sailing, windsurfing or perhaps just a stroll around the lake and lovely woodlands. There is also an indoor child’s play area and the Leziate Park Clubhouse which has a bar and restaurant.

In the village of Gayton itself there are two pubs, the Rampant Horse and The Crown. We can highly recommend the Crown, which has a friendly atmosphere, real ale and good food.  Dogs are also very welcome for those of you that are staying in dog friendly cottages in North Norfolk, and there is free wi-fi access in case you need to get online. There is a butchers in the village as well as a petrol station with convenience shop and post office combined.
