Cromer

Cromer – a clifftop Edwardian seaside town. Famous for its Pier and of course - delicious Cromer crabs. The wonderful summer carnival attracts visitors nationwide. This is a town with everything to offer, there’s a cinema, bowling and putting greens, mini funfair, plenty of tearooms, fantastic fish and chips, boating lakes, Edwardian style promenades and miles of sandy beaches. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle stayed here in 1901 on his return from South Africa, and was so intrigued by the chilling tale of ‘Black Shuck’ – The Hell Hound of Norfolk, that he was inspired to write one of his greatest mysteries – The Hound of the Baskervilles.
