This property is one of a pair of Grade II listed barn conversions set in the tranquil village of Mulbarton. Retaining original features including exposed beams and brickwork, and some low doorways, this is an ideal retreat, perfect for a family break in the heart of Norfolk. The cottage overlooks the largest common in Norfolk –55 acres of common ground with a children's play area and a village duck pond. Mulbarton is a peaceful village with shops, a pub and a fish and chip shop, and is an ideal base for rural walks. The owners run a vintage car restoration business on-site.

The cathedral city of Norwich (7 miles) offers plenty of opportunities for shopping, eating and relaxing. You could head to the Norfolk Broads (17 miles), where you can hire a boat and explore the countryside. The coast is within easy reach, with Great Yarmouth (25 miles) and Lowestoft (35 miles) offering beautiful sandy beaches.

Lovely stay in Mulbarton. Coach house is lovely and Mulbarton is a really nice place to stay.

The cottage was in a great location for exploring Norfolk, it is a lovely village. The owners were very responsive in dealing with any issues that arose. The steps from the kitchen to the living room are very difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

The Coach House is always very comfortable and relaxing. We have been 4 or 5 times now, and know that we'll have a great time. It's so easy to use as a base for visiting interesting places, and we were lucky enough to have beautiful weather! We hope to come back again.

This was a charming barn conversion and suited ourselves and the dogs very well. The common nearby was ideal for dog walks and we found all the shops etc around the common very useful. lt was lovely to watch the two Moorhens on the pond next to the barn and the little Muntjac deer on the common were very tame. The barn was very warm and the double Read morebed comfortable. The stairs would not suit anyone with mobility issues. This property was good value for money. Hide

Large and spacious property full of character with wooden beams and plenty of room. Good location to the village which has a pub, shops and a large common to walk round. Norwich park and ride just a few minutes drive away so easy access to the city centre which has lots of attractions to visit.

Lovely place, like staying in a national Trust property, with lovely character. Stairs are very narrow near the top and some steps are quite high, so more care needs taking with young children and older generation. There are stairgates which is great!

Large beamed property on 3 floors. Plenty of space for a family with older children. Located close to takeaways and a local Spar and Coop. Plenty of hot water and storage heaters work well
