Set within 2 acres of the owner’s grounds, this cottage is a charming holiday bungalow in the tranquil rural village of Hainford. This is a perfect holiday home for a couple looking to relax and discover the beautiful countryside nearby. The property offers: a comfy double bedroom; a cosy lounge with a feature brick wall; fireplace and electric wood burner; a fully equipped kitchen; bathroom and a delightful shared garden with patio, summerhouse and pathways through the grounds with grazing sheep.

 

Set among some of Norfolk’s most spectacular scenery, the picturesque village of Hainford features a lovely thatched pub and is an ideal base for exploring the Norfolk Broads, with the lovely village of Wroxham just 8 miles away, with an array of shops, restaurants and pubs.

 

You could hire a boat for the day to explore the picturesque waterways of the Norfolk Broads. There’s wildlife to spot at the nature reserves or you could stop for lunch at one of the many riverside pubs. Coltishall ‘the gateway to the Broads’ is just 4 miles away. You could also visit the vibrant cathedral city of Norwich (7 miles) or head to coastal resorts including Cromer (17 miles) and Sheringham (21 miles).

Lovely cozy cottage with everything we needed. Views of the 3 cute sheep from our bedroom window with lots of wild rabbits running around was idyllic. Our Jack Russell dog was very happy and contented as well. The owner was very helpful and available. The location though very rural was close to all the beautiful places we had chosen to visit with tRead morehe peace and quiet wonderful though a car is essential. Entrance sign could be made clearer. Sofa in our cottage could do with an update but bed was very comfy. Lovely clean sheets/towels and t-towels changed regularly. Kitchen very well equipped. Nice garden space which our dog Morgan loved! Very relaxing 3.5wks and Karen was very helpful, a lovely lady. Close to several popular seaside towns and NorwiRead morech. Lavender Cottage is set in an amazing location and ideal for a relaxed and quiet stay and gives easy access to all that The Norfolk Broads offer. The cottage is very comfortable with all utensils etc that you may need whilst staying. The Wi-Fi unfortunately does not function properly and this needs resolving as the phone signal is not that good. ThRead moree cottage is dog friendly with lots of ground for them to walk around. A very nice cottage with all the features we needed for a short stay. The rooms are a comfortable size for two people with the exception of the kitchen which is well equipped but very small. Might be trickly if planning a complicated cooked meal. It is possible to sit outside the patio doors in an enclosed grassed area. Good location for Norwich anRead mored North Norfolk. A friendly welcome from the owner Karen. We had a lovely stay in Lavender Cottage which had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. An enclosed lawned garden which was perfect for our dog. We look forward to re visiting again in the future.

Quiet and peaceful location, surrounded by open countryside, yet only a few miles drive from places of interest and Villages. Very relaxing and comfortable. Host was only to willing to help if needed, would have to give 10 out of 10.

There is plenty of room in the cottage for one or two people plus a dog. It's ideally situated for all the major towns and the coast. Dog walks close by and shared lawn space too.

Lovely little cottage for two plus dog, the bed was really comfortable and slept well, shower was nice and clean, shame we couldn't stay longer, would stay again, very peaceful area and about a 10 min drive to Wroxham.

This is the second time we have stayed at the cottage, and will definitely be planning another visit. The cottage is in a great location, with easy access to the coast , broads and Norwich. There is a great pub at Frettenham just 15 minutes walk away . The cottage itself had everything we needed, was really comfy with a great garden and outside spaRead morece and is really dog friendly , perfect for our older dog. We had a wonderfull stay at the Lavender cottage. We found it clean, well furnished and equipped. It is perfect for a place to stay to explore the surrounding beautiful counrtyside and some of the Norfolk Broads. We particularly liked Wroham which was a short drive away. Lovely cottage, spacious for the two of us and our dog Mia. Excellent location for dog walking. Nearest pub actually is the rose and crown lovely people in there and dog friendly. There is a hut on the ground that does food Thursday - Sunday its Chinese / Tia food.

Very comfortable cottage everything you needed for a great stay was there. Cromer only 16 mile away. Great to visit. Very quiet location and an excellent shared garden with seating.
