With its beamed ceilings, wooden cupboard-style stairs, and low doorways, this property has all the elements of a true country cottage. The period features have been beautifully maintained and complemented with a stylish update to create light-filled living areas and bedrooms. This is a great property for a small family, however the stairs are quite steep and may not be suitable for young children. The enclosed garden is mainly set to lawn edged with attractive shrubs and trees.
The village of Roughton may be small and peaceful, but guests will be pleased to discover that there is a handy village shop and post office, as well as a pub, fish and chip shop, and a sweet tea room all within a mile. Directly opposite the cottage the village common is a fantastic open space with fun playground equipment for children.
Ideally situated for exploring Norfolk’s north coast, Bucks Cottage lies only 4 miles south of the attractive seaside resort of Cromer with its sandy beach and iconic pier. Amazona Zoo, just 1 mile outside the town is a fun place for a day trip, whilst the quieter village beach at Mundesley is a 6.5-mile drive to the west of the cottage.
