A traditional 200-year old fisherman’s cottage, this delightful property has some attractive period features including a large brick fireplace with a warming wood burner in the welcoming lounge/diner. The cosy kitchen has an authentic cottagey feel to it, whilst the two bedrooms are on the first-floor at the top of a flight of steep cottage-style stairs. To the rear of the property, a shady courtyard garden offers a pleasant place to relax over evening drinks.
Bacton is a great base for visitors to north-east Norfolk, offering an array of handy shops, as well as a pub, cafe, and fish and chip shop all of which are situated within a mile of the cottage. The village beach is just a short 200-metre stroll from the cottage, and offers plenty of sand at low tide, ideal for a gentle swim or paddle.
The bustling resort of Cromer lies 11 miles north of Bacton, passing by a collection of seaside villages with quiet beaches along the way. The Norfolk Broads are also within easy reach of Fisherman’s Cottage, with the Broadland town of Stalham situated just 6 miles away, offering boat hire as well as being home to the interesting Museum of the Broads.
