Brent Cottage is a delightful and welcoming cottage in a tranquil village on the Norfolk coast. Set on the edge of the marsh at Thornham, this is a fantastic spot with stunning views over the marsh and out towards the sea, and is perfect for watching a remarkable variety of birdlife coming and going. Ideal for keen walkers, nature-lovers, and families looking to explore this lovely part of Norfolk, this mid-terrace traditional carrstone property features a snug lounge, a pretty kitchen/diner, three comfy bedrooms, a bathroom, an en-suite WC, and large gardens, ideal for dining alfresco.

Located on the north-western coast of Norfolk overlooking the Wash, Thornham has a choice of restaurants and pubs, and is close to several glorious sandy beaches. It's a haven for birds and birdwatchers, with nature reserves at Holme Dunes (1 mile), Scolt Head Island (5½ miles), and Titchwell Marsh (1½ miles).

This is a fantastic base for exploring the countryside and coastline of north Norfolk. Nearby beaches include those at Hunstanton (5 miles), Heacham (7 miles) and Wells-next-the-Sea (13 miles), or you could head to Snettisham Park (10 miles) or Pensthorpe Natural Park (20 miles). The Royal Estate at Sandringham is 13 miles away.

  • 1 dog allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £25. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

We returned to Brent Cottage for the third time. It's a wonderful situation where you can walk from the house. It's comfortable and homely in a way that is quite unusual for holiday rentals. It was very clean and if you like cooking your own food, the kitchen is well equipped in terms of crockery and pots and pans. JW

A great location and generally very acceptable. Bed linen and towels provided and of good quality. A set of sharp knives and a cork screw would be useful. Warm and comfortable, ideal for bird watching and walking.

An excellent location especially for those with a dog. Very peaceful and a beautiful enclosed rear garden. No hot water in bathroom tap but we just used the bath taps. Upstairs loo didn't flush. Kitchen equipment could do with an upgrade - new frying pans for instance and some mixing bowls would have been handy. Everything else fine. Good shower, bRead moreig fridge freezer, oven and washing machine in good working order. Perfect summer location but I suspect it would be quite cold in winter. Hide

A quiet cottage tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Pleasantly comfortable and appointed. Didn't wish for anything.
