Calendar Cottage is a traditional Norfolk flint, brick and chalk lump property situated in the pretty village of Thornham. Dating from the 19th century, this charming property overlooks the village green and the church, and features a welcoming lounge, a lovely dining room, an elegant kitchen, five cosy bedrooms, a bathroom, two en-suite shower rooms, a separate WC and a delightful garden, making it a fantastic destination for a large family or group looking to enjoy a celebration or reunion.

Set on the northwest coast of Norfolk close to the Wash, Thornham has a choice of pubs and restaurants, and is close to a variety of sandy beaches. A haven for birds and birdwatchers, the village is close to the nature reserves at Scolt Head (5½ miles), Holme Dunes (1 mile) and RSPB Titchwell Marsh (1½ miles).

This is a wonderful base for exploring Norfolk's lovely countryside and breathtaking coastline. There are numerous beautiful beaches including those at Hunstanton (5 miles), Heacham (7 miles) and Wells-next-the-Sea (13 miles). Other attractions include Pensthorpe Natural Park (20 miles) and the Royal Estate at Sandringham (13 miles).

  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • 2 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £500 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £50. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

We had another fantastic stay in Calendar Cottage. Already booked for next year and looking forward to it. We had some lovely walks in the rain and highly recommend the pub across the road.

We came to Thornham to visit Wells next the Sea to see the new lifeboat with grandma's name on. The cottage was a perfect location for 3 families ages ranging from 1 to 69 and 1 dog. We walked and swam every day and anywhere we drove to was 30 minutes at most. All the beds were comfy and after all the exercise we all had a good night's sleep. The kRead moreitchen was beautifully equipped, the chef amongst us couldn't wait to try the airfryer. It was a wonderful holiday for us all. Hide
