At a glance

  • A 17th century building with some characterful period features, situated centrally in the Norfolk town of Aylsham, within walking distance of shops, public houses and eateries
  • Enclosed patio courtyard, ideal for enjoying alfresco drinks and get away from it all
  • Located just 10 miles from the seaside town of Cromer with its sandy beaches and an easy drive from the pretty waterways of the Norfolk Broads
Property code: KT080

This stylish 17th century conversion was originally part of the cart sheds of the former Half Moon Inn. Harvest Moon has been carefully and tastefully renovated to provide mainly first floor accommodation, with beamed ceilings and original features giving it a cosy, country feeling. It's ideal for couples or small families, with two bedrooms (one a landing bedroom with single day bed) and a small patio area outside the cottage. For larger groups though, book together with Moon Beam which sleeps two or Half Moon Inn which sleeps six.

Harvest Moon is in the heart of Aylsham. Venture into the market place, which is owned by the National Trust, to browse the bi-weekly markets. There are plenty of shops to explore too, plus quaint tea rooms and country pubs.

The coast is a must-visit when holidaying in North Norfolk, with it being a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Head to Cromer, 12 miles north, and enjoy a beach day, perhaps even surfing in the North Sea waters. Norwich is close by too (14 miles), with a vast array of restaurants that are perfect for a romantic night out. It's also a great spot for sightseeing by day, too.

What a comfortable cottage! Convenient to everything we needed and wanted. We had a lovely break. Thank you. The only thing we couldn't find was a cheese grater.
