This detached, 1820s house is a lovely mixture of old and new. Grade II listed with a Georgian frontage and interesting porch and window features, it has a spacious extension overlooking the large enclosed garden. The old part of the house has retained many of the original features with cast-iron fireplaces, pamment floor tiles and feature beams. The modern part has wooden flooring and contemporary styling which makes it a very spacious family home. The house has five bedrooms and can sleep ten guests. There is a wide selection of books, games and toys.

 Its central rural location means that Syderstone is near to the attractions of Houghton Hall (4 miles away), Holkham Hall (9 miles and you can hire cycles there to explore), and Sandringham (15 miles).

Nature enthusiasts will enjoy a visit to Sculthorpe Moor reserve (6 miles) or Snettisham (11.5 miles) and children and adults alike will love Pensthorpe Natural Park (10 miles) and Bircham Mill (6 miles). Sailing and walking at Burnham Overy Staithe is 9.5 miles away.

We had a lovely holiday in Thurnby house. The garden is a lovely place to spend time with the family. The location is so peaceful and we really enjoyed it.

The house exceeded our expectations - it was spacious, light and comfortable. And the garden was such a tranquil place to sit - lovely at any time of the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic house for a weekend away with friends & their children. We had a lovely walk at Holme with lunch at the lifeboat inn. Saturday night was dinner and games night. Sunday we enjoyed a lazy morning and lunch at the dabbling duck. The house really is wonderful.

Wonderful property for a large family group and for all ages, great equipment & facilities and full of home comforts! Perfect location for exploring North Norfolk and gorgeous morning dog walks close by before heading out for the day.

Lovely property maybe looking a bit tired around the edges. But a good base. We found kitchen a bit of a challenge at dinner time as there was six adults and five children we ended up using kitchen table to dish up. But overall it was a good property

Thurnby house is a beautiful home in a lovely quiet location. Plenty of room for our family to spread out. Our grandson loved the garden. After finding a few cleaning issues and cleaning myself we enjoy our holiday and would recommend. The cleaning company needs to make several improvements to bring it up to standard.

Thurnby House is a beautiful place in a lovely quiet village. We were able to completely relax and unwind. The weather was kind to us and the garden was lovely and secluded. This meant we could enjoy family time together knowing the children could play safely. It was easy to explore Norfolk from here and a couple of lovely local pubs. Sandringham HRead moreouse is nearby along with other stately homes and beaches. The steam trains from Holt to Sheringham are always enjoyable. Hide

We had the best holiday and are hoping to return!! Lovely quiet location but the cottage is decorated lovely full with utensils and everything youll need! Contacted the owner with a question and received a super quick reply! Would definitely recommend and cant wait to go again !
