This 17th century brick and flint fisherman’s cottage is as comfortable as it is characterful with uninterrupted views over the marshes to the coast. Situated in the peaceful village of Salthouse, with its wonderful pub, post office and crab shop, the latter of which has been selling shell fish for over three generations, it’s ideal for couples and families (with the bathroom and separate shower room downstairs) and its central location, wonderful views and secluded back garden.

The cottage is in a prime location being under half a mile to all village amenities and the coast. Salthouse’s pebbly beach is the place to blow away the cobwebs, and the National Trust marshes are a bird-lovers' paradise.

For those wanting to explore the area, there are attractions for all ages and preferences nearby. The Muckleburgh Military Collection is just 2 miles away with over 150 vehicles, tanks and guns on display. The National Trust’s Sheringham Park is under 6 miles away, a beautifully landscaped park and gardens with numerous walks, picnic areas and local wildlife to spot. Or keep an eye out for buried treasure on Weymouth Beach (3 miles), once a haunt for local smugglers!

We love this cottage and its beautiful location, have been coming for many years. There are a few issues which are now badly in need of updating which would so easily improve an already lovely place. There was no wifi all week although this has always worked well before. We hope to continue visiting this very special cottage where we've visited manRead morey times over the last 10 years. It's beautifully warm, has fantastic views, a gorgeous garden front and back, dog friendly, a very happy place. Hide

Cherub Cottage is in a fantastic location overlooking the green and marshes in Salthouse. There is a pub to one side (but it's quiet) and a deli and crab shop on the green - all excellent! The cottage is warm, cosy and a bit quirky. It's a great place for a couple or small family. There is a nice front garden and a lovely patio area at the back whiRead morech catches the afternoon sun. A lovely cottage, well located by the village green. A good size property with a lovely little enclosed back garden. Only one shop nearby, well stocked in organic produce and a little expensive but good products. The crab hut is amazing. Lovely cosy cottage with great views towards the sea. Such a surprise to get the delicious welcome Pa k which was indeed welcome. Great for our dogs as back completely enclosed and front had a gate. Great location for exploring north Norfolk.

We had a lovely stay at Cherub Cottage. It felt like home from home and we felt comfortable as soon as we arrived. The cottage is clean and spacious, the garden is enclosed and pretty. The double bed was comfortable and the shower was powerful. Lovey location, parking was limited but spaces were near by, fantastic walled rear garden & lovely large bedrooms, outstanding views to front (worth it for that) Bath in one bathroom, shower in other which worked really well , stairs were wide and easy to use (Im on crutches) as banisters on both sides , washing machine, dish washer, very good and Read morequick too Really enjoyed the cottage and would definitely re book again Thank you for a stress free stay Will recommend definitely Hide

Great location looking over the village green. Pretty, private, courtyard garden. Light airy bedrooms, comfy beds. 2 modern bathrooms downstairs. Good sized living room and a great log burner. Bright and airy kitchen, well equipped.

Our second year at this magical property. We love the fact that we can lay in bed and look out over the marshes to the single bank. Perfect for all our needs - comfortable but no precious or over designed.

The cottage is absolutely lovely and very well equipped, and the back garden was enclosed and lovely, so good for our little dog. Lovely walks all around, down to the pebbly beach or up to the church or along to the crab shop/cafe. Holt is a lovely little town.

Cherub Cottage was recommended to us and we were generally impressed with the accommodation and location. The pub next door was nice with decent food and selection of drinks. A few improvements need to be looked at - the digital screen on the heater in the lounge needs fixing and the floor in the shower room was damp. We have stayed here four or five times and love this comfortable house and the village. Once again we are reminded just what a pleasant and refreshing place North Norfolk is. Great location for walkers and bird watching. Really pretty Cottage with good facilities. Would definitely book again. Visitors should know that no signal or wi-fi currently.
