A stunning barn conversion property complete with beamed vaulted ceilings and a huge cathedral window looking out onto the surrounding fields, this property is the perfect place to escape all the stresses of daily life, thanks to the peaceful scenic surroundings. Mornings are stress-free too, as both bedrooms have their own en-suite wet room, each with a shower and WC.
Situated in the coastal village of Cley-next-the-Sea, this property offers a quiet location and yet is within easy reach of all that the village has to offer. A pleasant mile’s walk across the marshes brings guests to the shingle beach where they can breathe in the fresh sea air and enjoy a brisk stroll by the waves, before returning to the village and perhaps stopping for a reviving drink in the pub or popping into the deli for supplies. Other shops in the village include a smokehouse, an excellent bookshop, and an interesting craft gallery.
Cley-next-the-Sea is one of several pretty villages on Norfolk’s scenic north coast, along with neighbouring Blakeney (1.5 miles) known for its National Trust nature reserve, and Weybourne (5 miles) home to the interesting Muckleburgh Military Collection. There are, of course, numerous beaches in the area, with perhaps the most beautiful situated 12 miles away at Holkham Bay: a wide sandy beach which visitors may recognise from the film Shakespeare in Love. Heading inland, the Georgian town of Holt (4.5 miles) is a delightful place to go to for lunch, followed by a wander around the independent shops.
