With ample space for four adults and two children, the cottage is a lovely holiday retreat for families and friends eager to explore the north-western part of Norfolk. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, and with the coast just a few miles away, this charmingly renovated property makes a fantastic getaway for walkers and nature lovers. The house has been attractively decorated in bright, colourful tones, and offers a wonderful backdrop to a relaxing holiday.

Entering this delightful property, you will find the light and inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Featuring plenty of seating and a Smart TV, the lounge is perfect for snuggling together in the evening. The dining table is ideal for sharing a family meal which you can cook in the fully equipped kitchen which also has a useful breakfast bar. The ground floor also has a convenient shower room. Upstairs, there are three charming bedrooms: a king-size room with a view towards the old mill, a spacious king-size zip-and-link, and a children’s room with a low-rise bunk bed. This floor also features the family bathroom. Stepping outside, the front garden offers uninterrupted views over the field towards the old mill. The enclosed back garden has a seating area with a BBQ and outdoor furniture, providing an ideal spot for catching the evening sun, dining alfresco or spotting the local red kites swooping overhead.

Harpley is a tranquil village with a friendly pub along the route of the Peddars Way. Local attractions include Houghton Hall and Gardens (3 miles), Castle Acre (7 miles), Castle Rising (9 miles) and the Sandringham Estate (8.5 miles). The coast is within easy reach with popular beaches at Snettisham (11 miles), Brancaster (13.5 miles) and Hunstanton (17 miles).

What a superb property - staying for a long weekend away with friends, we had everything we needed in a lovely rural location. The house was very homely and well equipped with a very funky interior design vibe, plenty of seating and comfortable beds. Superbly clean and equipped. Great owners for whom nothing is too much trouble. A true haven of peace and tranquility and situated near to all that we wanted. Sandringham, Houghton Hall and the coast with all that that holds. Will be returning asap.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Ginger Rose Cottage. The house was very comfortable and so welcoming, especially for our children, who loved their bunk beds, games, books and magazines. Lovely clean holiday home, well stocked kitchen, great garden furniture and secure garden for the dogs. Beds were comfy, we did find the lounge furniture a bit uncomfortable (quite low) but that was probably due to our age. Good local pub within walking distance. A car is a must.

Lovely comfortable property, everything you need. Ideal quiet location away from the hustle and bustle, which suited us being retired seniors. The pub in village served great food and staff were lovely and friendly. Many thanks Harriet on a perfect property, having the hottest weeks weather this year was an added bonus.

Well equipment and clean. We really enjoyed our week in this house. It was a short walk into the centre of Harpley where The Rose and Crown was a great place to eat and drink. We had several delicious meals there. Short drive to Sandringham which was on our to do list. We visited the coast and the steam railway.

This was our second, multi-generational visit to Ginger Rose and it was just as much fun as the first. The house is stunning - so clean and cosy and with SO much to do right on the doorstep, even being unlucky with the weather didnt spoil our enjoyment. Very roomy cottage with well equipped kitchen and utility room. Main bedrooms have adequate storage. Location is secluded but with easy access to main towns and villages on the North Coast. Ideal for dogs as the garden us fenced off with wooden gates.

Quiet location. Cottage was well equipped with electrical goods and kitchen tools. We used the back bedroom and the bed was very comfortable. The garden is enclosed and suitable to let the dog out without worrying about escaping. Driveway was very long for parking. Downstairs wet room was excellent.

Wonderful holiday property. The house was beautifully appointed with everything we could possibly have needed. Decor and attention to detail was impeccable. What an absolutely lovely house, very well thought out and appointed with everything you need. The house is in a great location, overlooking fields in a quiet lane within walking distance of the village Pub, which serves great food. Lovely house, surrounded by beautiful little villages. Owners very helpful and friendly but also gave us plenty of privacy too. Great dog walks on the doorstep and all the local pubs very dog friendly! Must recommend The Dabbling Duck for food - Yum!!

We had a fantastic time at Ginger Rose. It's a beautiful holiday home, spacious, clean and comfortable. Our dog loved the place too. It's in a quiet village, with lots of great walks on your doorstep. The bath tub was fab and beds comfortable. Loved the log burner too. Good Wi-Fi connection. And those views...just amazing. Absolutely fantastic property. Impeccably clean & with absolutely everything you could wish for. Very comfortable, great kitchen, bathrooms were awesome with the best shower I've had in ages!. Lovely & warm too. Really spacious and comfortable home. The owners are really friendly and welcoming. Plenty of parking space and nice garden areas. All the beds were comfortable and everyone slept really well. We would recommend anyone interested to stay here and we will be looking to book again in the future.
