This cottage enjoys an idyllic countryside setting in the heart of Norfolk. Sleeping five guests, the property is perfect for both families and groups of friends. Beautiful, rural walks can be enjoyed from your front door, or heading east you’ll soon reach the Broads (20 miles), with its plethora of waterside tracks and trails. There are some excellent family attractions nearby too, including Melsop Park Farm and Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure (both within 12 miles).

The cottage is full of character and charm, with original features such as exposed beams and stonework. After a busy day, unwind in the cosy sitting room, where comfortable sofas are arranged around a Smart TV and a wood burner-effect electric fire. Through the sitting room is the lounge, where you can curl up in an armchair with your favourite book. To the rear of the cottage is the country-style kitchen/diner, where you can rustle up tasty meals and dine together around the dining table. There is also a separate utility room and completing the ground floor is the family bathroom. The three bedrooms – a double, small double and a single – are located upstairs, and all have traditional furniture and decor. The enclosed garden enjoys far-reaching countryside views and has a patio and furniture for al fresco dining.

The fascinating market town of Dereham (4 miles) is well worth a visit during your stay. The town dates back to the Neolithic Bronze Age, and boasts many historic buildings, as well as a fantastic range of independent shops and eateries. It also hosts a great weekly market, where you can pick up local produce. The cathedral city of Norwich is just 14 miles from the property and you’ll also be within touring distance of the stunning coast, with the popular resort of Cromer just over 30 miles away.

The cottage was a lovely, cosy property and provided us with the ideal base for our stay in Norfolk. A well-equipped cottage with a great dog-friendly garden and ample parking space, we would certainly use again if we were in the area.

We enjoyed a great few days at this lovely cottage, which is well located to explore Norfolk. We loved the garden and views of the surrounding fields, and cooking in the kitchen with the Everhot stove.

The cottage was perfect for our needs and being able to sit out in the back garden in the Evening after a busy day holidaying with a glass or two watching the sun going down and the barn owls hunting in the field was a privilege.

We loved our stay at Stagg Cottage. It's a very nicely-appointed and comfortable holiday home that we found impeccably clean and tidy. It has a welcoming atmosphere, a relaxing garden with a nice view across the fields, and consistent and pleasant decor. The hosts left clear instructions for use of the various facilities and some local recommendatiRead moreons. The cottage is situated in a small and quiet village, but we still found it easy to travel around the county in different directions. Hide

Really cosy well equipped cottage. We loved it. My grandaughter managed to leave two precious items behind and the owners kindly sent them back and we received them the next day, what service!
