This charming property in the peaceful village of Foulsham is the ideal rural escape for couples, friends or a family for a tranquil holiday in a pretty conservation area. It’s only 10.5 miles from the edge of the North Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Pensthorpe, with its lovely lake and woodland conservation park, is 7 miles away.

This quintessential country cottage, set over two floors, has everything you could want from a home away from home. Light tones on the walls and warm hues in the furnishings and fittings, including a feature clock, create a welcoming atmosphere. On the ground floor, there is a lovely living room with a plush sofa and armchair where you can relax while watching Smart TV. A wood burner ensures that chilly nights are transformed into cosy evenings. From the living room, you enter the elegant kitchen, where you will find everything to make meal preparation a breeze. At the dining table with a cosy seating area on one side and chairs on the other, you can serve memorable meals and family favourites. There is also a sunroom which is a wonderful place to take some time out and has doors that open onto the garden. Upstairs, you'll find two bedrooms - a king-size and a double - along with a family bathroom. Outside, there is a fully enclosed private garden with a lawned area and a patio with garden furniture for days when you cannot resist dining alfresco.

Visit the traditional seaside resort of Cromer, famous for crab and its flat sandy beach and Victorian pier (20 miles), or the charming seaside town of Sheringham and hop on the North Norfolk Steam Railway (17 miles). Alternatively, take a day trip to Blakeney Point (16 miles) and visit the country's largest grey seal colony by boat. The medieval city of Norwich (18 miles) is a treat for history buffs or those in need of a little retail therapy.

Bethany cottage is situated in a quiet location but a good base to explore the area. It was spotlessly clean and very tastefully furnished with excellent facilities. Highly recommended cottage.
