Surrounded by gorgeous countryside, this elegant studio getaway is a wonderful couple’s escape, offering tranquil relaxation and the opportunity to reconnect with the natural world. It’s set in the delightful village of Strumpshaw, within easy reach of both the Broads and the beaches of the east coast.

This high quality holiday destination has been carefully designed for open-plan living, with everything (bar the shower room) in one convenient space. A wall of glazed, bi-fold doors has lovely views over the garden and allows light to flood through the property. Fold them back and enjoy a summer breeze and a real inside/outside feeling. The Shaker-style fitted kitchen has plenty of space for cooking up all kinds of delicious holiday meals, which you can enjoy at the breakfast bar. When you’ve eaten your fill, the comfortable sofa in the lounge area is the place to snuggle down, relaxing with a book from the shelves, some music or a programme streamed on the Smart TV. The double bed is adjacent, plus an additional seating area that’s perfect for a morning coffee or a night cap. In the corner you’ll find the en-suite shower room. An expansive garden surrounds the property, including a large lawn with a summerhouse that contains garden furniture for your use.

Just 2 miles from Strumpshaw is the riverside village of Brundall, which has a good selection of shops and places to eat and drink. Here you can also hire a boat and explore the southern waterways of the Norfolk Broads. Between the two lies Strumpshaw Fen, an RSPB nature reserve where you can get close to some outstanding wildlife - look out for marsh harriers, kingfishers, bitterns and even otters. For a day at the seaside, head to Caister or Great Yarmouth, both within 15 miles.
