A distinctive, traditional Norfolk barn in a wonderful rural situation has been sympathetically converted to a pair of comfortable, high spec holiday homes in the shape of Alethorpe and Wanstead Barns.

These quality properties offer a home from home with the added luxury of 2 en-suite bathrooms in each property. The barns are at the end of a drive surrounded by fields with views across the countryside, and as an added bonus the Pensthorpe Nature Reserve is just opposite. Not only is it easy to make use of the Kett 10% discount to Pensthorpe, but previous visitors have reported watching its many residents fly over the barns in the evenings whilst enjoying drinks on the terrace.

The barns' location means that you can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the rural situation but also be within 20 minutes drive of all the attractions of the North Norfolk coast.

Alethorpe Barn and Wanstead Barn may be hired separately or as the pair to accommodate larger parties.

Thought the cottage was of an excellent standard and really appreciated the small touches of milk, wine and biscuits as well as all the baby items (stair gates / bath toys).

Lovely barn, very peaceful. Nice touch with the wine, biscuits, milk etc. North Norfolk is great with beaches, seals and 2 visiting ducks to the barn at breakfast and teatime.

We enjoyed our second visit to the barn, sunny weather again - Norfolk doesn't often let us down. Good to see our friends the partridges again, in smaller numbers than last year. Highly recommended - the walled garden at Felbrigg.

Had a great week, weather fabulous. Highlights have been birdwatching from the barn, Wells-next-the-Sea and the walk to the beach, seal trip from Morston Quay to Blakeney Point and Pensthorpe. Recommend the Anchor Inn at Morston Quay and Great Walsingham Barns for light lunch.

Alethorpe Barn is just lovely - beautifully designed, well equipped and very comfortable. The added bonus is the peaceful setting - with hares and our favourite lapwings in the fields. The barn is ideally situated to explore the area and a light welcoming 'home' to return to at the end of each day.

We very much appreciated the wildlife, the peacefulness and the very comfortable double bed. Pleased to report that the White Horse in East Barsham is still doing very good food and Pensthorpe makes a lovely day out.

Very peaceful place to stay, and well equipped and comfortable. Enjoyed watching the wildlife (partridges, rabbits and hares). Pensthorpe well worth a visit as lots to see and do there. Visited Felbrigg Hall and Oxburgh Hall, walked some of the Coastal Path between Cley and Morston - particularly beautiful views over marshland. Coastal Hopper buses very useful for return journeys. Hope to come and stay here again at some point.

Alethorpe Barn was wonderful so peaceful and relaxing, we met the owner who was really friendly and helpful. The barn itself was so clean and spacious, we could not ask for more and having seen the photos and floorplan we were pleasantly surprised, it was better than we could have imagined. In the countryside but still only a short drive to the coast giving the best of both worlds. Loved watching the ducks flying over in the evening and the sense of isloation and peace and quiet has been amazing. We would return and recommend both Kett and Alethorpe Barn to anyone.
