Calendar Cottage is a traditional Norfolk flint, brick and chalk lump property situated in the pretty village of Thornham. Dating from the 19th century, this charming property overlooks the village green and the church, and features a welcoming lounge, a lovely dining room, an elegant kitchen, five cosy bedrooms, a bathroom, two en-suite shower rooms, a separate WC and a delightful garden. The cottage has its own heated indoor swimming pool, complete with changing rooms and a sauna, making it a fantastic destination for a large family or group looking to enjoy a celebration or reunion.

Set on the northwest coast of Norfolk close to the Wash, Thornham has a choice of pubs and restaurants, and is close to a variety of sandy beaches. A haven for birds and birdwatchers, the village is close to the nature reserves at Scolt Head (5½ miles), Holme Dunes (1 mile) and RSPB Titchwell Marsh (1½ miles).

This is a wonderful base for exploring Norfolk's lovely countryside and breathtaking coastline. There are numerous beautiful beaches including those at Hunstanton (5 miles), Heacham (7 miles) and Wells-next-the-Sea (13 miles). Other attractions include Pensthorpe Natural Park (20 miles) and the Royal Estate at Sandringham (13 miles).

A very comfortable, really well equipped house. Sunny, dog proof garden. The pool is a real bonus, our children used it every day, as we were not blessed with the best weather. Lots of inflatables and ideal for playing as its not too deep. Very handy having a downstairs bedroom to be near the dogs. We had a great family get together in Calendar Cottage at Thornham! It was good to all be able to sit around the large kitchen table for meals and the lounge also provided space to relax together. We had a lovely time on our family summer holiday with Grannie. The house was comfy, the swimming pool was amazing and we swam several times a day. Thornham is a great base for the North Norfolk coast. Any village would be privileged to have such a village hall, playground and deli- perfect for everyone.

We came to Thornham to visit Wells next the Sea to see the new lifeboat with grandma's name on. The cottage was a perfect location for 3 families ages ranging from 1 to 69 and 1 dog. We walked and swam every day and anywhere we drove to was 30 minutes at most. All the beds were comfy and after all the exercise we all had a good night's sleep. The cottage was lovely, fully stocked with all equipment that you might need. Very spacious and clean throughout. The swimming pool was warm and enjoyed by the majority of our party. A nice stay, on rather a busy road so quite noisy at times. The pub across the road although it serves good food it is very busy from early evening till around midnight so always car doors banging and rather a lot of noise. Situation good for walking and local beaches. The pool was well used by all.If you want quiet would not recommend.

Whole family including dogs had a great time. Swimming pool makes Calendar Cottage that extra bit special. Sizeable garden to accommodate all. Our stay at this cottage was amazing; the cottage is in a perfect location (easy access to beaches, local deli, pubs etc), the pool is lovely and really made our stay (especially in the heatwave) and the owners were so helpful. The cottage is in a great location and village for exploring North Norfolk. The pool was a bonus esp on the rainy day. But the house and pool area are dated and weren't as clean as we would have expected. Decoration throughout is much needed. The front gate and wall are quite low for large dogs so we didn't let them out unless supervised as the houRead morese sits on the main road which has loads of traffic passing through. Really nice place to stay. The village is very pretty and the pub directly opposite the house is perfect for a family meal / drinks. There is deli/shop/restaurant 5 mins away and a larger garden centre 2 mins drive away (not convenient to walk - no pavement). Absolutely incredible holiday. Lovely village and pleasant walk to the beach. Highly recommend the Orange Tree pub opposite, Erics fish and chips shop and the Farm shop along the road. Perfect location, lots of days out and activities within 30 minutes drive. Lovely walks around the village, anddown to the sea.
