Reviews and Special Offers
Had yet another wonderful stay in this spotlessly clean, well equppied cottage in a lovely location. Cannot fault anything and would happily recommend and will most certainly visit again. Welcome pack is a lovely touch and owners Helen and David are friendly, helpful and professional.
Had high expectations after reading all the good reviews, and we weren't disappointed. The owners have put in so much attention to detail, everything you could think of was provided, and everything was to a high standard. We brought our 9 month old baby, and he slept beautifully in the comfy cot provided. There was even a hooded baby bath towel waiting for him! The garden was lovely too, he enjoyed practicing his walking out there. Quiet village location, about 15 mins walk to the beach and a short drive into Hunstanton. We went on the seal trip which was good as well. Highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to explore north Norfolk
We had an amazing week and feel lucky that we found this gem of a cottage in the charming town of Heacham. The owners went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The goody basket on arrival provided us with enough stuff to keep us going especially the bottle of wine. From beginning to end of our holiday we loved staying in the fuzzy duck and within no time it was home. The amenities were plentiful, the garden was stunning and the location was within easy distance to shops, beaches (I reccomend Old Hunstanton beach) and other gorgeous villages. If you are lucky enough to to get a stay at the fuzzy duck, book it!
Perfect holiday , cottage home from home spotless and in a very good location . Great weeks holiday will return in the future.
After my wife visited this cottages previously she returned with such high praise that a return visit -this time with me in tow-was duly booked for a week in May . They then followed a lovely relaxing break in this part of Norfolk in one of the nicest if not the nicest cottages we have ever stayed in -which over 20 years have included the good bad and ugly. The immaculate presented cottage exudes an air of quality and good taste in it's fixtures and fittings; it is so thoughtfully equipped it really makes it feel like a home from home. . No corners are cut -and the welcome pack was generous and much appreciated after the long journey down from the frozen North. A large beautiful garden is a nice feature for sunnier days and again very well equipped for alfresco dining. We will be visiting this delightful property again-my wife's third visit. I cant think of anything negative about this cottage-well done David and Helen-you have truly set the gold standard; if only all cottages where like this!
We spent a weekend in this lovely cottage whilst visiting relatives nearby. We loved it, as did the children! The cottage is immaculate inside and has everything you could possibly need during the stay. The garden is very nice too if you have the weather to enjoy it. Welcome pack was very much appreciated on arrival. There is lots of information on what to do around the area and also a selection of board games too which we made use of! We will definitely return to visit again, hopefully in the not too distant future!
Spent the Easter weekend here with friends, and glad we did, it was perfect. Heacham is a good location for getting to all the best bits of North Norfolk, and the cottage is in a nice quiet location too. Very well equipped, good space for a cottage and tastefully decorated to feel like a home and not a holiday rental. Highly recommended.
We have enjoyed another super holiday at Fuzzy Duck Cottage. Dave and Helen have created the perfect place for a restful holiday. The cottage is spotlessly clean, very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Nice touches are the Welcome Basket and phone call on arrival. The cottage is situated in a lovely quiet village with parking available right outside. The beach is about a 20 minute walk away. There are plenty of pubs in the village and surrounding area serving food. There is a wine shop at the end of the street plus an Indian Restaurant and a Fish and Chip shop in the next street. Tesco is a couple of streets away too. All within walking distance. Hunstanton is only a short drive away. We walked from Heacham to Hunstanton along the seafront. Wells Next The Sea is well worth a visit. Sandringham is also a great place to visit and is only a short drive away. We can't wait to explore the area more when we return in the summer.
We had a great stay at Fuzzy Duck. The cottage is clean and tidy with all modcons and more. The owners were incredibly helpful and left a lovely welcome pack of food and drink. The location was great for local amenties and the beach and we easily cycled to Hunstanton. Would recommend the seal trip from Morston and exploring Cley, Blakeney and Sheringham Park. We also went to the wave pool at Sheringham on a rainy day, which the kids loved. Would highly recommend Fuzzy Duck to anyone visiting the Norfolk coast.
The service booking this cottage was very good. Cottage was really lovely very clean and had everything you required for a short break. Welcome pack was brilliant. Location was ideal. The friendly phone call on the first night and how the owners keep everything one a very personal level.
Stayed at fuzzy duck cottage for a walking weekend break, absolutely loved it, very clean & great location for everything. The owners offered loads of info on walking hikes which we loved.
We travelled to Fuzzy Duck cottage in Heacham from Nottingham, with our three kids (10, 7 and 18 months) and had a lovely week there. The cottage, was in perfect condition when we arrived, and the welcome hamper was a great surprise! Everything we needed was supplied already, and the kids made themselves at home in no time. The location is perfect for Hunstanton, Sandringham, Castle Rising, RSPB Titchwell and the kids loved The local soft play centre. The local chippy serves great Fish and chips, and the nearby Tesco is ideal for picking up supplies. All-in-all we would definitely recommend Fuzzy Duck cottage to everyone!
Fuzzy Duck is the perfect place to spend a cosy Xmas. The welcome hamper & decorations were a really nice surprise & it felt very Christmassy- our little boy running around in delight. We can't wait to come back & experience it in the summer & make the most of the beach down the road. Highly recommended.
Have used the cottage 3 times in 2012 and each time we go back further improvements have been made. Ground floor lovely wood throughout and new carpets upstairs. Would also recommend Heacham - everything is walking distance from cottage, you really don't need a car once you've arrived!
Booked at very short notice and very pleased with the cottage. Loved the real fire & would certainly enjoy the big garden if we had stayed in the summer. This was our first ever stay in Heacham - everything you could imagine is only a few minutes away, including 3 pubs and 3 real local butchers! No need to have a car whilst there.
