The Hayloft is a superbly presented property in one of a cluster within a beautifully restored 18th century barn conversion. Set at the edge of the development with superb views over fields with grazing sheep and cattle, the Hayloft welcomes you with its comfortable open plan sitting room and well equipped kitchen, perfect for family groups. The bedrooms (1 double, 1 kingsize and 1 twin bed) make it ideal for families, but also for couples wanting to enjoy the birdwatching and walks at both nearby at Sculthorpe Moor and on the coast, or for those visiting for events such at Sandringham, Houghton Hall or Walsingham.
The Hayloft is one of several properties surrounding a central paved courtyard with seating, all of which have access to a shared heated indoor swimming pool, (.765m at the shallow end and 1.365m at the deep end), and games room all year round. The games room has a snooker table as well as pool, table tennis and table football. A washing machine and dryer are available in the communal area. With the benefit of a very efficient electric central heating system the barn is perfect for a break at anytime of year.
Toftrees itself is only a few minutes drive from Fakenham which has 4 supermarkets, a cinema, indoor bowling and the great Drifters fish and chip shop! It is also only a 20 minute drive from the North Norfolk coast so you can enjoy the beaches, towns, villages, walks etc without the inconvenience of holiday crowds. The main coastal towns of Wells-next-the-Sea, Blakeney and Holt are all close by from where you can sail, birdwatch, swim, take boat trips, play golf, ride horses or just relax on the beaches. Villages including Burnham Market, Brancaster, Holkham, Salthouse, Cley and Morston allow you to experience the award winning restaurants, country pubs, galleries and the many farm shops selling local and seasonal produce. Inland there are a number of stately homes including Houghton Hall, Blickling Hall and Holkham.

Kett Visitor book
Nice barn conversion with added bonus of the swimming pool and games room that we used daily. Within easy drive to many attractions.
It was just right for what we needed. Cheap and cheerful and big enough for us (5 adults and a toddler) - but you'd have to be pretty comfortable with one another as it's not huge!We were there when the temperature was 0 degrees, and the bottom bedroom was very cold, but that's to be expected from a converted barn. It's also hard to judge was the place is like in better weather! Pool and games room are nice enough - though the pool is very shallow, so don't expect to be doing Olympic lengths. The accommodation needs a little TLC. A few bits missing in the kitchen and the dishwasher and hoover could do with an update. But for the price one can't complain. Also, worth noting the location - nothing in walking distance (not even a pub!), so you are slightly marooned if you don't want to drive.
The games room was superb and the pool fantastic. My two grandchildren were in the water every afternoon. We saw rabbits, a hare, had resident horses all immediately close to the barn. We played cricket on the field which would have been even better had the grass been cut. All in all it was a brilliant week 10/10.
Excellent stay - really enjoyed it and the Kett guide was accurate. Accommodation was lovely, setting and location were great and generally fab. Super comfy beds, chunky furniture, loads of character - would stay again.
We stayed at Hayloft last year for a few days and that is the reason we returned. The facilities are superb, the swimming pool is kept to a high standard of cleanliness and the games room is also of a very high standard.
