Skippers Rest is a traditional fisherman's cottage brimming with 'seaside cottage' character having recently been renovated throughout. Sit out on the patio and relax to the sound of the sea or stretch your legs online the sea front just 50 yards from the cottage! Pubs, restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance too. Perfect for couples seeking a traditional break to the seaside, Skippers Rest is the ideal base to explore North Norfolk and embrace the modern seaside chic.

Cromer is a traditional seaside resort with a cliff-top setting and wide sandy beaches running down to the sea. It is famous for its fishing fleet that still bring in their catch for sale in the town. Cromer also has a fine pier, a local history museum, a new lifeboat museum, zoo and golf course. And for those days when the weather fails, a multi-screen cinema, indoor children's playbarn, Kart Track, cycle hire, shops and restaurants as well as seafront entertainment, making it ideal for a family holiday. Cromer Church tower is the tallest in Norfolk and the more adventurous might like to climb to the top to enjoy the wonderful views.

PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL IF YOU WOULD LIKE A SHORT BREAK THAT STARTS ON A DAY OTHER THAN A FRIDAY AND WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO ACCOMMODATE.

Highly recommend Shelley's Pie & Mash Shop and Breakers Cafe for breakfast. We were lucky with the weather and our dog had lots of lovely long walks. We can't wait to return.

Thank you for the wine and biscuits, very thoughtful and kind. Beautiful cottage, very comfortable, quiet and brilliant location. My sister and I have enjoyed some lovely walks, enjoying Cromer, Wells, Blakeney, Holt and Sheringham. Beautiful coastal walk from Cormer to Sheringham. Everyone is very friendly, made to feel very welcome. So much to do and see, really enjoyed our much needed break. Kett provided good and useful information and all timely.

Had a lovely week in Cromer. Cottage is very comfortable and in a great location. Dogs loved it too, with big, sparkling beaches to run freely on. Particularly enjoyed walks in and around Sheringham Park, Blakeney and Holkham. Also a great walk to Overstrand over the cliff and back along the beach. Best pub in town is the Red Lion, and you must have fish and chips at One (superb!).

Skippers Rest is a delightful holiday home. We've stayed self-catering all over Britain and this rates among the best 1/2 dozen - so well thought out, everywhere spotless. The stairs were a problem as I've had a knee operation but the handrail was a great help, so well placed to assist, especially over the top. We;ve been to several small towns and villages by using our bus passes and would love to come back in warmer months when the countryside must look glorious.

Thank you for the lovely wine and cakes which were lovely and a welcoming thought. We loved the cottage, but stairs were a little daunting for my husband as he had a bad leg. It didn't stop us having a great time though. The cottage has everything you could need and so comfortable and close to all amenities. Everyone so friendly - went out every day. Parking was okay. We got a weekly (7 day) ticket from Norfolk Council, which we recommend.

The cottage was comfortable and pleasantly furnished. Appreciated the welcome to the cottage (milk in fridge, bottle of wine, toy for our daughter, chocolates and biscuits). The owner also contributed to make our stay welcome by offering gifts and sent a kind postcard before our departure. On the whole, we had a lovely stay. The cottage was comfortable and we felt very relaxed after our break. So it ticked all the boxes for us.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Our first visit to Cromer and we just love this little seaside town. Plenty of shops to get your groceries and other nic nacs.
