Located on a family estate of slightly under a thousand acres and surrounded by green fields and woodland, this newly renovated cottage is the ideal base for a small family to explore everything the Norfolk coast and countryside have to offer.

Located on a grand, Georgian estate of just outside Wroxham, this gorgeous cottage is surrounded by beautiful green fields, wildflower meadows and woodlands. Sleeping four people across two bedrooms and welcoming two canine companions, it’s the ideal accommodation option for romantic couples, small families or groups of friends who want to escape to a rural bolthole for some quality time in the Norfolk countryside together. Spend your days gliding along some of the Norfolk Broads’ 125 miles of navigable waters, and your evenings strolling along the estate’s secluded footpaths.

Sleek, fresh and thoughtfully-decorated throughout, this cottage beautifully blends traditional elegance with modern styling. Step inside and make your way to the chic kitchen. Cook a fabulous dinner for your nearest and dearest and serve it at the dining area. After dinner, head out to the garden, pour yourself a glass of something cool and crisp and soak up the last of the evening sun. If you have the dogs with you, they can safely run free while you relax, as the garden is fully-enclosed. When the sun sets, make your way to the stylish living area, sink onto a sofa and catch up on your favourite TV shows before retiring in one of the two lovely bedrooms upstairs.

The best way to enjoy the Norfolk Broads is by boat. Make your way into Wroxham (5 miles), stock up on supplies for the day and hire yourself a boat. With 125 miles of lock-free waterways to explore, a relaxing day out is ensured. For a more energetic day out, head to Whitlingham Country Park (17.5 miles) and try your hand at canoeing, sailing or paddle-boarding. If you don’t want to cook after all that fresh air and fun, head to one of Wroxham’s many bars or restaurants for dinner.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

  • 2 bedrooms - 1 super-king-size and 1 twin zip-and-link (which can be made up as a king-size on request)
  • 1 Bathroom with bath and over head shower, WC
  • Electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer
  • Smart TV in lounge with sound bar and Bluetooth connectivity
  • Off-road parking for 2 cars
  • Please note there is an enclosed garden for guests, permissive footpaths around the 1,000 acres and the woods area is off limits during the shooting season October to middle of February

A fantastic holiday cottage. Spotlessly clean and the small garden and larger walled garden were both perfect for our pooch. A perfect base for exploring northern Norfolk and The Broads.

Lovely cottage in a superb location. The cottage has been tastefully renovated to a high standard and has everything you could wish for. There is an enclosed garden but also the added advantage of a large walled garden where the dogs could have a run. The location is superb with close proximity to the beaches and the Broads.

This is a very well presented and clean cottage. The owner was very friendly and helpful and the welcome pack was a lovely idea, gratefully received. There was plenty of kitchen equipment which was also very clean. On the whole a lovely place to spend a week's holiday exploring the area. The furniture is a little low though, so if you struggle withRead more sitting, there may be an issue. Hide

The Stables would be ideal for peace and quiet, being on an estate in a tiny village, but a good base being central to the north Norfolk coast, Norwich and the Broads. Everything in the cottage was to a very high standard and we were made welcome, which made for an enjoyable stay.

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
