In the heart of the market town of Wymondham sits this charming 19th century railway cottage. Renovated in 2013, plenty of original features have been retained throughout, including feature fireplaces, sash windows and a pretty Victorian porch. With a cosy sitting room complete with TV/DVD and electric flame fire and a delightful patio garden, this is ideal for a restful break for two.

Wymondham is a thriving market town 10 miles southwest of Norwich. The town boasts a selection of independent shops, cafes and pubs together with some of the county’s most characterful houses. Set against the Tiffey Valley is Wymondham Abbey, one of the grandest religious buildings in East Anglia.

Adjacent to the property is The Mid Norfolk Railway, where steam and diesel trains run to the market town of Dereham, connecting to the coastline at Sheringham and Weybourne, the Georgian town of Holt and much more. Culture lovers should visit nearby Blickling (26 miles) and Felbrigg Halls (40 miles), while romantic days out can be enjoyed aboard a boat through the Norfolk Broads (20 miles).

Had a lovely week at the cottage with my dog, Kaia. Really handy having a very secure area at the back for her to do her business or have a little play. The cottage was super clean, and so roomy, it's like a Tardis! Very comfortable, we both felt very at home. Parking was easy, and despite being right next to the station the cottage was relatively Read morequiet - you did hear the odd train going through but it was never intrusive. A lovely cottage in a small market town. Parking right outside. Very clean and comfortable. Large bathroom, amazing shower. Lovely little courtyard, private and has seating. No smart TV, only DVD's. Charity shop close by sells DVD's. Lovely town nearby. Had a great meal at the White Hart. Woodbines do fabulous fish and chips. Perfect location next to the railway station. Lovely comfortable cottage well equipped with everything you need for a good holiday. Ideal for two people . Lots of interesting places to visit not too far away and Wymondam itself well worth looking round.

We were very happy with location of Cottage and it was clean only faults are the shower head needs renewing [no grip] and up stairs toilet screams when you flush. Oh most important no pint pot. Otherwise it was great.

A lovely (not so) little home from home - well appointed, with the little touches that show that somebody cares! All rooms generously proportioned, for two people. With the Station Bistro adjacent, one could be forgiven for never venturing more than a few paces from the front door. Special thanks to K8, for being so 'accommodating'!

Excellent accommodation. Great location. Parking good. All facilities were excellent. Enclosed garden which was good for the dog. Would have be good to have hair dryer but not the end of the world. Definitely recommend and definitely will be returning

A very clean and comfortable cottage with surprisingly little noise from the adjacent train station. Some sort of blackout blind / curtains in the bedroom would have been appreciated as the lights from the station were on all night and were very bright. What a fabulous cosy little cottage. We felt so at home there and were very sorry to leave. Everything was so well thought out. Obviously a lot of care had been taken when preparing this for a holiday let.

Very well appointed cottage and very spacious for two people and a dog. Thick large towels, a comfortable bed and all the kitchen equipment you would need if you were eating in. Couldnt beat the location, right next to the station (Train noise minimal) with trains to Norwich and the coast in one direction and Cambridge in the other. This is a small cottage next to the railway station, meaning it is very good for travel into Norwich (don't attempt to drive in). It is clean and has just sufficient fittings for two people, although some did not work correctly, e.g. the TV. It is an easy walk into Wymondham village.

Lovely clean cosy cottage. Appreciated the milk, bread and jam and the extras in the bathroom. I loved the sunroom to chill out in the evening. We had a lovely meal Friday evening in the station Bistro and a good fried breakfast Thursday morning.

Stayed here with my dog and it was great. The property was clean and spacious. Had everything we needed throughout our stay and only a short walk to the town centre, which has plenty of cafes, shops and restaurants. The property was very comfortable and modern. Perfect location for day trips out to the surrounding areas too.

Lovely character cottage in a great spot. Close to all facilities of the town with a pub, excellent restaurant and Co-op shop all in very close proximity. Enclosed rear garden very secure for dogs and parking is not an issue directly outside the cottage. Perfect location to explore Norfolk with easy rail access right next door.
