A charmingly characterful cottage, this Grade II listed property has been beautifully finished to create a fantastic blend of original features alongside timelessly classic furnishings. The attractive village of Blakeney, where this cottage is situated, enjoys a fantastic location on the salt marshes leading out to the sea on Norfolk’s north coast. The village quay is a pretty spot from which visitors can enjoy the toing and froing of the local fishing boats, as well as being the departure point for day trips around the neighbouring National Trust nature reserve, home to a colony of grey seals as well as many species of sea birds.

Situated in a central position on Norfolk’s coastline, guests staying at this cottage can enjoy all that this picturesque area has to offer. Keen walkers will love the quiet shingle beaches in villages such as Cley (2.5 miles) and Weybourne (6 miles), whilst those looking for somewhere to enjoy miles of unspoilt sand should head to the stunning beach at Holkham Bay (11 miles), next to which the beautiful Holkham Hall and its surrounding estate make for a fabulous day trip.

A very comfortable and ideally located Cottage.Stunning views of the harbour and out to sea, from the master bedroom window. Within 2 minutes of great places to eat, especially the Moorings. An excellent deli just up the road and a mini market and post office a few minutes away.

A delightful, well-appointed and beautifully-positioned cottage, with views over the Blakeney harbour and salt marshes towards the North Sea. Not really suitable for persons with mobility difficulties on account of the steep and curving stairs, but in all other respects a perfect holiday cottage

Beautiful period cottage, sympathetically decorated and furnished with super views over the river and coast. Central position in Blakeney close to excellent restaurants. Loved everything about it including the quirky almost spiral staircase.

Beautiful cottage, superb location but unsuitable (because of stairs) for many disabled people. Prior notice would have been useful.

Lovely little comfortable cottage. Storage heaters, so plan to be warm. Staircase is very steep and some treads uneven. Sea views are wonderful.

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
