A true coastal gem, this light and airy annexe with Velux skylights that flood the room with natural sunlight has an upside-down layout with the open kitchen/diner on the first floor and the bedrooms hidden away at the bottom of the stairs. Contemporary and stylish furniture has been selected to make the Barn Cottage a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.

It's just 2 miles from Sandringham, where you'll find the Queen's magnificent country estate, and under 9 miles from the glistening beaches at Snettisham, Heacham and Hunstanton. Wander the surrounding village of Dersingham for great amenities including a newsagent, supermarkets, coffee shop, a fish and chip shop as well as an award-winning pub. Go for a walk along the coastal path for spectacular scenery, hiking over cliffs and strolling over soft sandy shores.

The region is famed for its numerous nature reserves where you could go searching for rare birds or tracks of the many other creatures that make this stretch of the UK their home. Inhale the sweet scent of the lavender fields around Heacham and explore the Lavender Visitor Centre (5 miles).

Very pleasant owners, who were very helpful. Very clean and well stocked property. Felt like a home from home. Convenience stores nearby if needed, yet out in the country. Not to far to travel to North and West Norfolk coasts. Will definitely stay again.

Location

Note: As the postcode is used to identify the general area of the property, it may not always reflect its precise location, therefore please only use this map as a guide.

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
