A far cry from its original incarnation as Holt Workhouse, this Grade II listed cottage is now a wonderfully comfortable holiday home, suitable for a couple or small family of three to enjoy a restful break away. To the front of the cottage a lawned garden and patio seating area provide guests with an attractive outside space to enjoy al fresco drinks, whilst inside the accommodation is set across one floor and has been thoughtfully finished with a well-equipped kitchen, cosy bedrooms, and underfloor heating.

 An attractive Georgian town, it is easy to see why locals and visitors alike come here to enjoy a leisurely day of wandering the independent shops and lunching in one of the numerous pubs, cafes, and restaurants which lie nestled in the town’s attractive squares. All of this can be reached within a pleasant 0.5 mile walk from this property, making it ideal for those who want to be within easy reach of the town’s amenities, whilst enjoying a quiet residential location.

 The town of Holt lies just 4.5 miles from the beautiful North Norfolk coast which can be reached either by car or alternatively by steam train on the railway line running between Holt and the seaside resort of Sheringham, 6.5 miles away. Once a fishing village, Sheringham is now a popular spot for holidaymakers to visit with a seafront promenade and a shingle beach which gives way to wide stretches of sand at low tide.

A pleasant cottage with tasteful furnishings and well equipped too. It was in a convenient location just a short walk from the town centre.

What a hidden gem! Great location and such a cosy cottage. There was even a Christmas tree up for our stay over the Christmas period. We will definitely be coming back.

Clean, comfortable in a good location so it was an easy walk into Holt. We would stay here again as it's a lovely area of the country.

Cosy cottage beds very comfortable and cottage clean Equipment in the kitchen needs a bit more thought with extra items provided Car parking very difficult if you have a larger car than a mini which also takes up a lot of the garden which is quiet small ( I finished up parking on the roadside Dishwasher available but no tablets Wi-Fi works well

Lovely character cottage in brilliant location. 5 minute walk into Holt. Nice to have enclosed garden but grass needed cutting badly which was disappointing. I would recommend staying in this location.

Great location, 10minute walk to Holt and 20minute drive to Cromer. Property is good for people who have mobility issues (single level and big spacious bathroom with walk in shower) and for a dog (enclosed garden)

This is a nice cottage in a great location easy walk to town.Well equipped and comfortable.Do not be put off by comments of tight entrance we managed to get 2 cars in off the road. If you need a base it has all you will want.

Excellent cottage for easy access into Holt. This lovely quiet spot is 10minutes into the main shopping area. Easy access to the coastal areas and so many beautiful places to explore nearby. Definitely worth a visit.

Wonderful cottage, so well equipped and a real home from home. Perfect base for exploring the nearby beaches and Country Park. Parking was tight, luckily we have a compact car. Would definitely recommend this lovely cottage.

Property very clean on arrival. Gate entrance very tight even for a small car. One bedroom very small. Really a two person property, facilities would be tight for four. Has underfloor heating which didn't heat the property effectively.

Quiet area and lovely cottage. Driveway easy to pull into and to reverse out of. Garden secure for dogs. Garden lovely despite not in bloom because of the time of year. We would recommend Blackbird Cottage to dog owners and non dog owners.

Cottage is convenient to walk into Holt where there are plenty of shops and places to eat, although it is directly opposite a school so subject to traffic noise in the mornings. The second bedroom is very small and so cottage is really only suitable for 2 adults and maybe one other person/child. Well equipped kitchen including washing machine, dishRead morewasher & microwave. The garden is dog friendly and our cockapoo enjoyed his stay. Hide

We have now stayed in the cottage for two successive years, not something I would normally do but the cottage is ideal in many ways and in fact has been refurbished since our first visit. The cottage is a good size, very.clean, very comfortable and well equipped with everything we can think of whist away.
