Blackbird Cottage is a 400-year-old, traditional brick and carrstone cottage full of charm and character, situated in a quiet road close to the market square in the heart of the village of Snettisham. As well as traditional charm, it boasts many period features, and has an attractive mature garden with patio and outdoor furniture: perfect for relaxing in the evening with a glass of wine. The kitchen/diner is spacious and complete with wooden table to enjoy a family meal.

The cottage is in an enviable location meaning it is close to good walks, beaches (Heacham and Hunstanton 3 and 4 and a half miles respectively) and good food - the village boasts an award-winning pub, the Rose & Crown – mere steps from your front door and a local supermarket is less than a minute away ensuring you have all the essentials.

For a day out why not take a trip to Burnham Overy Staithe (14 miles), climb the sand dunes and enjoy the view. This is a particularly popular spot for boats. This is a simply lovely cottage in which to spend a relaxing break: extremely well equipped and very comfortable. The garden is charming in the summer and the cottage beautifully snug in the winter, and very quiet! With an excellent village shop close by and a great bus service the location is perfect.

Well equipped with everything one should need on a self catering break. Great location for local pubs, public transport and walks. Quaint spacious cottage with a homely antiquated feel, bright and light bedrooms, sunny garden and of course a resident blackbird or two! Would happily return.

As a small family, we just needed somewhere to lay our heads down for the night - but we were given so much more! Snettisham is a beautiful village with all the amenities you need - shop, pubs, fish & chips - and Blackbird Cottage is next door to a wonderful little book shop. There was everything we needed during our stay, from fluffy towels to essRead moreential condiments. Amazing value for money and would definitely stay again. Hide

This rustic country cottage was near perfect for the 2 of us, with the spare second bedroom giving extra space for storage. The lounge was nice and cosy, and the wild garden an extra bonus. The kitchen was a good size , with large table. Parking was adequate and a frequent bus service to Hunstanton, Sandringham and Kings Lynn just minutes from the Read moredoor. Hide

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
