Lovely setting. Very peaceful and interesting. The only visitors were ducks and we enjoyed hearing the cuckoo daily. Watching the boats sail past was very relaxing. Jim and Truffle were very welcoming and helpful.

We had such a wonderful relaxing time at The Boathouse. The photos on line don't do it justice. The location is perfect, to watch the boats pass and to watch and listen to the birds. The cottage was lovely, spotless and the location on the river peaceful but with plenty to see with boats and wildlife. Facilities excellent and as the weather was glorious the living room was bathed in sunshine and we had the patio doors open sitting on the deck. Would not hesitate to recommend and the welcome from Jim and Truffles was great.

We loved the area the Boat House was in. It was very interesting. The view we had was perfect and very relaxing. We have done a lot of sight seeing in Norfolk already so it was just right for us to watch the boats go by and also to take a boat ride ourselves.. Though the weather turned cooler and wet we still had a nice break.

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).
