Set yourself up with a stylish getaway at this chic property in the village of Bacton. Sleeping four people over two bedrooms, it’s the ideal accommodation option for romantic couples, small families or groups of friends. Spend your days wandering along Happisburgh Beach or exploring the incredible gardens at East Ruston Old Vicarage, and your evenings catching up with loved ones around the cottage’s roaring wood burner.

Kick off your day with a coffee in the garden to the front of the property. It’s the perfect place to plan the day ahead. After a great day visiting the c seals at Blakeney National Nature Reserve or strolling past the colourful beach huts on Mundesley Seafront, come home and cook up a feast for your loved ones in the stylish kitchen. Serve up a meal to remember at the dinner table in the funky living/dining area before slipping onto a sofa to catch up on your favourite TV shows. Alternatively, head out to the pretty garden and crack open a bottle of something fizzy. When the day is done, head upstairs to the first floor and you’ll find two double bedrooms, each with their own feature fireplace.

Go for a stroll along the lovely, long sandy beach at Happisburgh (3 miles). You can’t miss the village’s striking lighthouse with its distinctive red and white stripes. Head to Morston Quay (26 miles) and hop on a ferry to Blakeney Point to see the grey seals. The reserve itself is a fantastically-spacious landscape with salt marshes, sand dunes and horizons that stretch far out to sea. Cottage is extremely cosy and comfortable. Open fire added to the atmosphere, and decor fab. Heating kept it very warm all day and night. Stairs quite steep and bed in lower bedroom quite low, so not suitable for all. Location perfect for beach access, and shop, pub and a few cafes within walking distance. An absolutely charming cottage in a truly delightful area. We parked the car and didnt use it again until we left. Gorgeous beach walks just five minutes from the door. A very comfortable and clean property with very welcoming little touches including fresh milk and eggs. We hope to return for another glorious stay by the beach.

Well located, well kept and well appointed. A great little cottage. Would benefit from a stand alone shower, but overall, it's so nice, this can be overlooked. There is also the added bonus of having a secure lock up for our e bikes. Lovely

Perfect little cottage, located a very short walk from the beach. It was tastefully decorated for our Christmas Holiday and lots of treats left for us to enjoy. It was warm and cosy too. My only fault was that the mirror in the bathroom would benefit with a light. Would like to return again in the future.

Its comfortable accommodation with a log fire, about 10 minutes walk down the lane leads to the beautiful stretch of coastline, its perfect for walking! Lots of places to visit within a 30 minute drive. The stairs at Coastguard Cottage are a little steep so anyone with an infirmity may find them challenging.

We enjoyed our stay at Coastguard Cottqge and used Bacton as a base to discover more of the area. The cottage was well equipped without going overboard. As previous reviews have stated, the cottage does not have a shower. We did know about this before booking, so this is not a complaint, however a shower would have been much more practical for us aRead mores a family of 3 with a 12 year old (with hindsight). The bath looks great, however this is quite difficult getting in and out of. Hide

If you want good sandy beaches fed by gas terminal protection scheme which are relatively undiscovered here is an opportunity within a short walk. Interesting local services, but need to be mobile, or use cab rides.

One almost doesn't want to be too positive in the worry that the secret of Bacton will get out! A well-equipped cottage, in a quiet location and just a few minutes from the beach, which, whisper it, is basically your own, even in August. Pub is a few minutes away too and there is a wonderful vegan cafe just up the road. Wonderful.
